I’ve had a good laugh reading the latest on this thread, although it is hard to tell the pisstakes from the non-pisstakes.

To say this is utter tosh. Who told Jordan to buck his game up ? These are wild and viscous rumours young man

What I've noticed is that a lot of Ayew's best work is being done on the wing, which suggests if we do sign a striker in January then he can compete with Wilf and Andros for a place out wide. I'm still not convinced about him in terms of being a significant threat in the 18-yard box, but outside of it he works really hard and has gotten very good this season at holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Has there ever been a Palace player to turn things around so dramatically from one season to the next? He is a great example to the youth players that hard work can pay off.

He is a miserable bugger, can’t deny that. He’s work rate is excellent and he holds the ball up well in tight positions and regularly worms his way out with the ball or gets fouled. He’s doing a job at the moment but he’s not gonna score the goals to propel us up the table. I’d be inclined to try Big Ben again, he’s looking leaner and has looked dangerous in his short cameos. Striker in Jan is a must, but how many times have we said this?

I don't think his shorts are ridiculously long, but his legs are ridiculously short so maybe the same effect.

I believe you are advocating that this is the mindset of those in the corridors of power at the club.
