I remember losing to Liverpool 9-0 and still kept singing so even if the HF are not about I think there will still be a great atmosphere even when we are losing imo

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |

I have to say the atmosphere's been on the wane for a few seasons now. In our promotion season it was rocking, we even got beaten by Fulham 4-1 I think it was, it was still rocking... Anyway from 15 through to 18 I have to say I think the HF have largely been propping up the atmosphere. (Most of) The rest only sing when we're winning. If the HF aren't going to contribute anymore, even as a disparate group, I don't think it's gonna be any different from any other pl club now. I remember the Fulham game well from the 13-14 season. A number of angry young men dressed in black made their way to the tunnel at the end of the game and made throat slitting gestures at the players as they left the pitch. Holloway resigned after the game. I agree regarding the decline in atmosphere but that is human nature and a result of raised expectation.

But I guess the question is: without the HF we are gonna be a library? I actually don’t think so. Especially if we’re playing well. Furthermore, the Arthur Wait section nearest block B is very vocal and may become the new focal point, if efforts to replace the HF aren’t successful. Does anyone know whether those 100 seats have been taken?

On the coach on the way home, I did the mock ‘wake up with a start from a bad dream’ routine, saying “oh God that was terrible. I dreamt I was on a coach on the way home from Anfield having lost ten-nil!!” You had to be there, but it was a night for gallows humour.
