Well if it was the the presenter who was sacked, assuming that is what you mean,I would suppose it would be because the radio station was blatantly stupid or worse. But still not sure why that would make you a little bit racist? It was the bbc and you tell them that from within and you will follow the presenter out of the door.

I do think as a society we should factor in a person's intention rather than an exacting way of communicating that creates 'gotcha moments'. Some people are looking for others to overstep the mark to round on them; the social media mentality. Most individuals in this day and age aren't racist though by any meaningful definition, and those that are... are not particularly hard to spot.

Yep correct why would anyone get offended by that If you are asking my permission so you can go out into the world and then say what you like to anyone because I said it's ok, believe me I haven't got that much power. Let me spell it out for not every BME person is spokesperson for every other BME person as you aren't for anybody else either.

Exactly and it is a shame to be afraid to speak what you feel and think. Even if its negative it doesnt necessarily constitute racism. Constructive criticism is useful in building bridges if they are broken.

I didn't mean that literally, you are your own man you better decide what is right and wrong yourself, I'm quite capable myself of deciding if i want to celebrate St George's day or not

Also How do I know what's right and wrong, I'm white and very aware that everything I say in every context is analyzed and dissected.

Comedy can age badly, but the intention behind it was one of fun and absurdity, and even many of the people he mocks see the funny side of it. He wasn't mocking anything related to a person's race. But at the end of the day, it's his comic creation, so if he feels uncomfortable about how it could be perceived negatively now that's for him I suppose.

It’s attitude and being open enough to listen to others and accept that what you might think of as harmless might not come across that way.
