This post has been merged from a topic called 'Sorloth scores the winner against Anderlecht' by becky Be interesting to see how this loan goes. Who knows....never looked good enough in a Palace shirt , but if his confidence grows who knows ...football is all about confidence and feeling comfortable. I always sensed he felt he didn’t belong in the Palace team...

He might not want to return after the way he has been treated here Sorloth himself has to take some of the blame, but I tend to agree that a lot of what went wrong was well outside of his control. 1 - The guy who scouted him needs to be fired with extreme prejudice. He failed in the Dutch top flight. He was absolutely nowhere near Premier League class, more like League One. 2 - Given point 1, the way to possibly get some value from him was to give him a run of games at least, and coach the sh&& out of him. Given that even his positional sense improved exactly 0% under RH and Lewington, I would question the coaching. Giving a player like that fits and starts of sub appearances basically guarantees failure, its as simple as that. One of the worst signings under Parish and Freedman (and that is saying something). Given the time in which he came in, our lack of fit strikers at the time, and his quality leve and how he was used, the club didn't do well with this one at all.
