Please would you make a special effort to respond to other posters without the gratuitous insults, or I may fail in my special effort not to give you a card. Thanks.

I've decided may be bit raw. However gona say want Roy out in summer. Lose 3 times to them c***s, twice to Brighton and piss poor at home not really excited about him in charge and £500 new season ticket 🙈 I know fine margins at this level but fkin groundhog day isn't it reactive management will only stand still. If you stand still too long you go backwards so I'm rolling the dice. Thanks Roy now out for me. I know few injuries but as the pundits say no Zaha and Sakho were a championship side. So light weight today it was disgusting just needs some man management, some aggression to go with the off the cuff skills and pace we have. Chris Wilder be a punt for me right mix of old and new school management. 🔴🔵🦅

We do need a breath of fresh air next season and Wilder would be a good shout I think. However there's no way he'll leave Sheffield Utd, especially if they come up, as is looking increasingly likely.

I think the whole issue with Roy is safety first.

Took over England, steadied the ship. Defensively tight. The second any expectation or having to attack and it all goes to pot.

Same with Liverpool.

When we attack on the break it’s instinctive. You can’t coach or teach that. Our issue comes forcing the issue. If plan a doesn’t work their isn’t a plan b. Roy confuses stifling with playing well. There is never a foot on the opponent’s neck.

You can coach a defence but sides have figured us out. Figured Roy out and he is a man who offered Zaha it Schlupp (who has improved) he wouldn’t pick Zaha as he isn’t functional.

Pardew was too the the other way. Roy fixed the defence and deserves credit for that. But as an attacking manager he makes some bizarre choices.

Once a manager starts on a decline like this they never turn it round.

No disrespect to any old men, but they stood on the touch line today as as two really old men, no ideas, no inspiration, no clue.
Why only one sub, we were 2-1 down with 10 mins to go, why wasnt Wickham and Ayew thrown on. where was the gammble. Hodgson doesnt have the foot"balls"

Roy was bought in as he res respected, trusted and cheap.. he could keep us up or help rebuild if relegated - well he did a great job - but he hasn't been backed he doesn't after 18 months have half the players he would have liked - who is a Roy signing - solorth i think? Meyer, if it is roy's it's a misfire as never used so looks unlikely - batsman been on the radar a while, so it's obvious parish looks at roy as keeping the seat warm until even he finds out what he wants to do.
Dead wood cleared up this jan, will continue in july and i imagine a new regime.

They don’t in this current era usually. His effect on the players wears off after so long for any of several reasons.

For a while now I’ve tried to avoid being negative about Roy. I get he’s all the experience in the world and is a great coach but there doesn’t seem to be any passion in what he does.

That leads me to ask whether this affects the players and they end up the same way. On our day I believe we’re a match for anyone but we just seem to lack that passion/drive/fire that players like Jedi or Damo showed week in, week out and which spread through the team.

Today we were 2-1 down with 10 to go yet we don’t throw the kitchen sink at it. So what if we make things worse, Chuck another two attackers on & have a proper go at them - sod safety & balance & all that. Watford’s back four would have been struggling with a variety of attacking options coming at them yet Ayew & Wickham were just sat there watching on. Even put Wardy in at right back & push AWB onto the right wing with Andros left or wherever he wants, not just more of the same.

You can’t simply keep doing the same thing and hope the outcome changes.
