I seriously doubt we'd go for that. If we swap Benteke for Berahino we'll go down. We finally have a 15 - 20 goal a year prem striker, we'd be crazy to sell.

Allardyce kicked this into the long grass at his press conference this morning.

Berahino is out of contract at the end of the season. What a ridiculous deal that would be.

Berahunho looked like a decent proposition a couple of years ago but his performance and attitude since then have made him a real basket-case. The idea of replacing Benteke with him is too ludicrous to discuss.

Saido Berahino? Palace previously failed with a £17m bid for the player in the summer of 2016, and according to The Sun, the club have submitted a fresh offer for the player today that has been accepted. Eagles manager Roy Hodgson knows Berahino well from his previous incarnation as Baggies boss and is confident that he can get the best out of the striker.

Berahino has scored 5 goals in 61 appearances covering this season and the two previous seasons.A player rich in goalscoring form !!!! Just what we need !
