Pepe joining Arsenal for £72m must have been a reality check and blow to the ego.

Yep - but I have to say that in the position we are, and with hopefully only 4 decent results needed for that 40 point line, maybe now is the time to offload and spend the next 15 games learning how to play without him. If he does go in the summer, we start 2020-21 on the back foot, so sell now and devise/learn how to play Plan 'B'.

I agree that we should be able to play without him (injuries/suspensions) but dont see any reason to sell him now.

That’s very gracious of him, I hope he and his ego can survive on the £130k a week.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Or he signs long extension to current one and we build around him and move on .As unlikely in my opinion that we are going to get our current valuation.Maybe high Valuation to others but worth that and more to us.

When we’re trying to change the wage structure and rebuild for the future, keep and pay him even more for passing it sideways and showing up a few weeks before each transfer window? No thanks. Sell when the offer is satisfactory and use the money rather than eventually have no money following his injury, no form, or sale to a promoted club for peanuts. Unless you have knowledge of an imminent sale of CPFC to a person interested in the club more than what we have.

He is still top draw and worth 15/20 points a season. Yes the wages are a problem but it's the premier league. If as mentioned above we have to lower wages and rebuild he needs to go when safe too have time to rebuild. But there seems no takers so so might be no choice
