What we need to do is look for a club who will swap him for three players; full back, winger and forward. Scuppers Man U pay off

Of course it doesn't as Manchester United are entitled to a percentage of Zaha's sale price whether that is paid in cash or part exchanges

Wilf is a great player for us. However it will be hard for a team to be convinced buying him for £70m. Maybe if we are lucky we could get £60m. I feel that is what happens. He really wanted to go in the summer. So this summer, we have to sell him as he probably is desperate for a new challenge.

If PSG sell Neymar back to Barça (Mbappe won't be sold probably unless someone offers something like £300m for him.) PSG are probably the only team who could give £70m. Other teams won't spend more than £60m for him imo. Most probably one value him at £40-£50m Max. The £80m valuation is not good for anyone. Feel £60-£65m would be great also. As long as we can buy a new winger and a new striker for that money who will make the team that will not be too bad. However, knowing the board would not be surprised if they did not invest that money..

If someone says offered £60-£65m it would leave us with around £45m or just over that (UTD 25 percent fee) Even £45m would still be possible to buy 2-3 players if we are smart. Doing things like buying free quality players or those with a year left on their contract. Or buying players from the Championship who can improve the team I.e. Bowen (available on free this summer from Hull) And maybe bid for Cantwell Max £25m and £20m for a striker and get someone like Soares or Manquillo on a free both out of contrasts (improving RB spot)

Rumours are Chelsea have valued Batshuyai, (a good player, but one who cannot get into their first team), at £45m. If he is worth that then Wilf has to be £70m. So, would we accept a swap plus £25m? Given we have to give a chunk to Manure, it doesn’t leave a lot to buy a decent winger.

So take Hudson Odoi as well, then there is no cash and nowt for MU

Some posters need a reality check. No team came up with the original £80m valuation. No team is going to come up with £60m. Zaha has hardly put himself in the window with his form this season. We should have taken Everton's deal and moved on. That said, I think the best we can hope for is a cash and player deal.

Thank you. This silly idea that we can get out of paying United comes up again and again.

And from what was reported yesterday, it sounds like there was never any real offer from them.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Everton just posted a big loss and according to Talksport they are just within FFP rules so I would be surprised to see them make any big money signings this window unless it's a buy now pay later model.

So if they are still interested in Wilf my guess is they will try and off load some more of their players to us.

Is there a natural replacement? Player profit is only good if you use it wisely and strengthen

Take someone like Foden on loan

The problem is I don’t trust our chairman/owners to reinvest this money adequately at a time they want to sell the club.

If we had a strategic recruitment plan, we could sell Sahko and Benteke and offload their wages, which would probably allow us to take a lower offer for Zaha. Then reinvest in talented, younger players and restructure the squad for our next phase in the Premier League.

I get the feeling Zaha isn't going anywhere anytime.
