Very poor on Saturday. Even when both their right sided players had been booked he refused to run at anyone. It's been the same all season - he gets a pass and then just passes it back again. Why is this? Is this part of Roy's plan to keep things boring and not risk anything or is Zaha scared of getting inured or has he lost his pace? By this time last season he'd won 3 pens for us; this season it's only one - he certainly doesn't seem to be getting into the box as much.

Didn't he declare himself fit for the Norwich game ? I thought he was clearly carrying a knock & obviously the Arsenal defender had him in his pocket for the majority of the game.
Yep he doesn't do himself any favours with his sulking but as much as I'd love him to stay it's best for all he goes asap preferably the summer.

One of Zaha's main issues is the lack of attacking threat we have on the other wing, and also behind opponents defenders through the centre.

Meyer could be left out on the pitch all by himself and still fail to exert any influence, and whilst Ayew works his knackers off he doesn't have raw pace to run behind. Opponents currently aren't stretched enough to create space for Wilf.

When we had Bolasie things were far easier for Wilf. He also picked right up when Batshuayi was there making runs behind defenders, creating space.

Didn't see the spit but heard him saying 'shut the f**k up' twice.

By all accounts Wilf was carrying an injury. Also, we worked the ball far to slowly to him. By the time it reached him, there were usually three players around him, somewhat limiting his options.

Why get yourself a top agent? In fact what would a top agent want with a player that wanted to stay at Palace.? Agents are in it for the money, money that comes from moving players on.
True Arsenal, used the best tactics on Wilf, on Sat, but he never looked like he was up for it, the real Wilf, would have gone looking for the fouls that would have come. Understandable if he has an injury, but if it was, did that also account, for him losing tha ability to make easy back passes accurately . Putting the defence under unwanted pressure.?
It’s a great loss in my opinion , but it’s pretty clear he should move on, before , he creates to many questions in the minds of prospective buyers, with average performances, and the petulance ,that bugs him, most games.

Yeah I think for clarity, he spat as footballers usually do just in direction of crowd, not directly at it.

Also, wasn't particularly having a go at WIlf it was just a worrying incident and I agree with your comments.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I can’t believe the comments on here saying Zaha wasn’t trying on Saturday or was playing not to get injured. Absolute garbage of the highest order.

Zaha has one good game out of every 3 or 4 and that has always been the case. When ever he is up against a decent full back with pace and strength then he struggles badly which was the case on Saturday. This is the same Zaha that we have had for all these years, he blows hot and cold.

Nothing to do with not trying or not wanting to get injured before a big money move. Id be shocked if a big club tried to sign him this window. China is probably his best bet for a big money move.

I don't think it was any of those things but rather he is distracted and it affected his concentration. It wasn't just his ability to take players on but his first touch was also unusually poor and so was his decision making. It reminded me of how he started the season when he himself admitted his head was not in the game. He needs to be honest with Roy if he can't focus as he was actually a liability on Saturday. I think he is an honest player but clearly one driven by emotions for better or worse. If he gets a big move I think he will come into his own, but more performances like Saturday and he won't even make our first XI.

What we need to do is look for a club who will swap him for three players; full back, winger and forward. Scuppers Man U pay off and pretty much fills Roy's requested reinforcement. PSG springs to mind, nice big pay rise and lots of medals.

My sentiments too. I just hope we can sort a move for him sooner than later so that we can start our post-Wilf life.

Wilf should go or commit to the team. Simple as.

Makes me sad to type that because - so many good memories. He has been one of our great players. But if he doesn't want to stay, then . . . goodbye and good luck.
