Ok. Seeming some chatter out there that perhaps, and it is a huge perhaps, my old pal Jezza might be announcing the formation of a new political party tomorrow. Need to stress that I am not convinced but...and its a huge but...we could have a Sunday in which we get a No-Deal Brexit, the chance of a mighty bust up with the French AND the Labour party splitting in two. LOL.

More Labour party related gossip/chatter/utter BS. Rumours circulating about Starmer possibly resigning tomorrow. Suspect it is little more than froth, with none of the usual sources reporting it but who knows anything at the moment? If he is standing down I suspect it is more about him getting caught out over something outside of the Westminster bubble rather than actual politics but lets see. Plenty on the Labour side hacked off with all that 3 line whip issuing over voting for the Brexit deal but surely in they are not stupid enough to sack him over that?

Starmer must go !!!! For not opposing the government consistently. It is the constitutional duty of the opposition to oppose the government. That is what it is for, that is what our democracy should be. No doubt he is eloquent, but labour MPs must be sick of abstaining and even supporting the tories. Amazing that he has locked himself into supporting Johnson what possible logic could there be, the tories don't need his support to rule.

You are right I think, I don't know if it is true that financial support has been withdrawn. There would be a certain sense of justice if true given Starmer's leading role in pushing Labours insane second referendum position in the run up to December 2019. Throw in the suspension of Corbyn and you have created a lot of very pissed off people in the TU movement who might just be willing to do his legs now. Because with local elections coming up in May then its a gamble. If Starmer manages to do well in those he is cemented in post until the next election. Now would be the time to move against him. And yes, the withdrawal of financial support would be the weapon they could wield. His support of the Brexit deal has not gone down well with the wider membership so he is probably in the weakest position he has been since winning the leadership election, especially with polling probably (and not seen any so am purely speculating) showing a bit of bounce for Johnson. If they want their 'et tu' moment, now is the time.

Who cares, can't see Labour winning the next couple of general elections whoever their front-person is.

Like Jeremy or loathe him, he is obviously an honest politician, the CONS gutter press and media circus would have tried their utmost to find something if it existed, it didn"t, no corruption there! The man obviously has something about him, apart from wooing the youngsters at glastonbury, singing his name, he has almost half a million views on the hol, who knew?
