Todays first download is a set by Billy Idol that was recorded at the Poplar Creek Amphitheatre, Chicago in 1984. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show on the famous King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show. There is some doubt as to the exact date/venue of this show - so I'm going by what the artwork says - the tracklisting file notes say it maybe wrong. The show itself is top quality and the sound is top notch. Some classic tracks as well including "White Wedding" "Rebel Yell" and "Mony Mony" are all played - this is a great show and thoroughly recommended.... Here is a download link I found for :- Live at the Poplar Creek Amphitheatre, Chicago 1984 - Billy Idol (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : 1) Love Calling Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 61.8MB (Including Artwork and Tracklisting) Enjoy! Todays second download is a set by The Lemonheads that was recorded at the Glastonbury Festival in 1993. This is in superb quality - really good sound - the audio has been taken from a pre-fm broadcast of the show. I've only posted one previous bootleg by this band - this is the best sounding of the two and the earliest. I had a recent request for some boots from this festival - so thanks to Forest Hillbilly for the request. Here is a download link I found for :- Live at Glastonbury Festival. I was asked for some Donna Summer by a neighbour and I thought this one would do the trick. This is a show recorded at the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA in August 2008. The quality of this bootleg is superb and the audio has been taken from an FM Broadcast of the show. Towards the very end of the show there are a couple of "reception issues" but they don't really spoil the show - it's almost over. She performs a wicked version of the classic "Macarthur Park" which lasts for nearly 8 minutes. RIP Donna Here is a download link I found for :- Live at The Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA 22.8.08 - Donna Summer (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : Disc 1 : Disc 2 : Encore: Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 140MB (Including Tracklisting) Enjoy! I have to say both the Glatonbury 1993 sets (Robert Plant and The Lemonheads), were stunning.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Todays second download is a set by Sufjan Stevens that was recorded at The Paradiso, Amsterdam in 2005. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from a soundboard source. According to my files this is only the second bootleg by SS that I've posted - although I have posted most of his studio recorded albums. SS released his first album in 1999 on Asthmatic Kitty - a label he co founded with this stepfather - and he plays a variety of instruments : guitar, drums, oboe, xylophone, keyboards... often playing them himself on his albums by multi-tracking. If you like Sufjan (pronounced : Soof-Yahn) Stevens then you will want this one.... Here is a download link I found for :- Live at The Paradiso, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 27.10.05 - Sufjan Stevens (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : CD 1 CD 2 Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 99.8MB (Including Artwork and Tracklisting) Enjoy! Todays first download is a set by The Yardbirds featuring Jimmy Page that was recorded at the Anderson Theatre, New York in 1968. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard. The filenotes give the details of the recording. It seems that the Epic record label were cashing in on the success of Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page and so they released this LP. Some fans are familiar with the story - the drums were recorded with a single mic, crowd noise was added - with the sound of clinking glasses, etc. So Jimmy immediately had the LP pulled off shelves, but not before some got out. This recording is taken directly from the original Epic vinyl and features an early version of LZ's "Dazed and Confused" - called "I'm Confused" which includes Keith Relfs original lyrics. One for any Yardbirds/Jimmy Page fans.... thoroughly recommended. Here is a download link I found for :- Live at The Anderson Theatre, New York, NY 30.3.68 - The Yardbirds (Bootleg) Quality : Superb Tracklisting : 01. The Train Kept A Rollin' Download Link : [Link] Filesize : 100MB (Including Artwork and Tracklisting) Enjoy! Attachment: The Yardbirds - Anderson Theatre, New York 30.3.68.jpg (214.72Kb)
