Whoever it is I am hoping he’ll be as committed and loyal to Palace as Roy has been - and not leave us in the lurch like Pulis and Big Sam. I was disappointed when both left - although I do now appreciate the wisdom of them leaving before their limitations were exposed. If Lampard has in fact ruled himself out then we may well have avoided being in the same situation in 12 months time when a better option presents itself.

(Tekkers, Wickham, Sakho etc ... ) well we've have had a bit of cladding but I'm with you. This new manager s*** will drag on all summer and we'll end up with someone about 1 week before the start of the new season...its all a load of bollox really. The recent Times article correctly stated that Roy was leaving and it would be announced prior to the Arsenal game. On the basis this was correct the same article also stated that Lampard was not under consideration as the next manager.

It is a shame we wont ever find out the real reason why both those managers walked either of them I believe based on records could of been at the club fair amount of time plus moved us to a solid middle table place no problem if backed. 3 years is a long time I could see Dyche hanging around that long but not sure he would get on or put up with SP. It comes down to no matter who takes over anyway if they are not backed £ or given time it's meaningless this is what worries me we have seen plenty of evidence that SP wont dig into his own pocket and the Americans saved us before with injecting some funds wont do it again.

1st Choice. Benitez. Excellent experience. Lamps should be a last option as with him it will either go really well and or we get relegated. Main problem with the Chelski legend is that media will protect him no matter even if we are about to get relegated. Sean Dyche no thank you! what would de without being drip fed world class wonderkids & top, top players by superagents?

Holloway got us promoted then had the integrity to walk away when he realised the job was not for him. Neil Warnock served us well. The other two failed in the job.

It’s incredibly exciting and I’m relishing the opportunity to ‘start again’. I’m hoping the new manager will revitalise the club, players and general image. I’ve heard quite a few times recently, including from Roy, that the focus moving forward is going to be on youth in terms of playing staff but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was also the case for the manager too, employing a younger guy. Either way, I’d expect there to be no announcement until the season’s well finished and award ceremony has taken place. Despite rumours, I still think Lampard will be liked by Parish but it will all depend on someone’s commitment to the cause and desire to blood through academy products. We can guess all day long but if they don’t focus on these the areas when interviewed then they’ll not be successful.
