Our manager decided he wasn't good enough after scoring 1 goal in 19 games. None of us thought he was any good, he was poor to put it politely, let's not pretend we had Salah on our hands.

He's done well in Turkey, let's see how he gets on in Germany, my thought's are we've done brilliantly getting the money we have done for him, and hopefully we can get in another striker.

Interesting, I wonder if Chelsea fans felt Similar of Salah before they shipped him off to Roma.

The news of the sale of Sorloth made my day yesterday. The fact we have this useless waste of space off our books AND it seems, have recouped the money spent on him is such a touch.

I too will be interested to see how he gets on at RB Leipzig, surely he cant be as bad as he was for us?!

You are very harsh on a guy given little chance to establish himself and thrust into the Palace Graveyard of No.9's which has seen the end of many others.

If he makes good at Leipzig (I hope we have a sell-on clause, but doubt it) then I will be pleased for him and probably cursing the instigators of a very complicated loan deal with the Turks.

I saw the phrase ' Graveyard of no 9's" recently on another Palace platform.

AJ and Murray both excelled at Palce, Gayle did OK.
I have never seen the list of No.9's who found Palace a graveyard, can you name a few for my education please.

Shefki Kuqi did ok for his limited talent.

Who are the "many others "?

You must be the only one here who has actually seen the loan contract , please enlighten the rest of us.

Good luck to the guy... I don't blame him at all for not mentioning Palace in his goodbyes... Let's be honest he was never given a fair crack here, treated like s*** by Roy and Ray and farmed out in what can only be described as one of the most bizarre loan arrangements in football history...

Thank God we got something for him... Best of luck to him. I have a sneaky suspicion he will only get better and better.

Possibly, but those fans didn't vocalise on this forum by the end of his time at the club. To give him his dues, mattteo (if I remember correctly) was one of the only voices to strongly suggest he will blossom. I supported him more out of blind loyalty to any player that pulls on a Palace shirt. He was awful in his final appearances for us, potential or no potential.

Well obviously I haven't but let's be real here... How many other loan contracts have been like the one we had with Trabs??... Where we have to share the transfer fee with the club we sent him on loan to??

I've been watching football many years and I'm struggling to think of one??

That's my point,Salah had shown something, Mourinho didn't fancy him as he is not his type of player, Sorloth had shown nothing to everyone, who had watched him.

He's moved on we done well getting what we did for him, by all accounts the add ons and 10% of any sale in future is ours.

Fantastic result for the club, which he made for us, by scoring goals in Turkey, not Italy, Spain or Germany.

Good luck to him, but I won't miss him, there was nothing to miss.

Maybe, but I can only say it as I saw it...and I saw a lot of Sorloth.

He was incredibly poor for us. I genuinely was delighted when I saw the confirmation yesterday that we had sold him and got a half decent fee for him.

Potential? I'd like to know when, because I didn't see any. So any new forward coming in now, its okay for them not to be scoring? Is that how low Benteke and Wickham have made us?

Roy and the coaching staff, Parrish, Freedman, and Bright, and I've heard what he has had to say about Sorloth, all thought he wasn't good enough for the premier league.

The fact that a club was willing to take him on loan for 2 years, with an obligation to buy, was a good deal for the club. What we have ended up with, in the end, is a fantastic deal for the club.

Currently Benteke and Wickham. Not so long ago, Bamford. Murray and Gayle were fine until what few creative midfielders we had were got rid of and the emphasis on defence became the norm.
