Duran v Buchanan 1972

Showing on BT Sport 3

Buchanan must of had balls the size of watermelons after the fight.

Can watermelons hurt that much?

Happy to report he’s been released from hospital.

He compared it to fighting for a world title! When Roberto Duran says it’s tough it must be bloody tough!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Mike Tyson v Roy Jones exhibition fight charging 50US pay per view.

Ridiculous. Tyson won’t have more than two rounds in him

Most fantastic fight?

Then serious injuries to GM has made this fight totally politically incorrect. But man, it was epic.

Awful event! Like you say Tyson after a few rounds will want out as he hasn't had the heart for the game since the mid 90's and Jones whilst brilliant in his day has no chin anymore and is fragile. Watch Jones run for a couple of rounds before Tyson quits. I think they are wearing large gloves which will nullify Tyson's power.

I'd rather remember Tyson from the years where he was all but unstoppable. It's sad to see him return after all of these years, even if it is just for an exhibition match.

There’s a good Tyson compilation on YouTube which is worth watching to remember him at his peak.

The commentary’s a bit annoying.

The 'great' Roy Jones Jr was totally humiliated by Joe Calzaghe. Jones might have been past his best when they fought but the Americans were always been reluctant to recognise Calzaghe as the best of the best.
This fight with Tyson is a joke but it will be on us if we pay to watch it. Both fighters were washed up well before the retired, never mind in their fifties.

After watching a lot of old boxing recently, I concluded that Ali beats everybody in his peak around 1967 with only Tyson having a chance of beating him then. The Ali that fought Frazier in the first fight was not ready after three years out and he must not be judged on his later fights.

Prime Lennox Lewis would beat anyone around now but he would have had a job catching the young Ali and might have fallen foul of Tyson's speed and power if they had fought a few years earlier. Watch the first Sonny Liston fight to see how Ali out skilled one of the most feared heavyweights of all time. Liston deserves more respect for his destructive power but would he beat Foreman, Lewis, Frazier or Tyson? Not sure about that.

Larry Holmes would have given anyone a run for their money in his younger days but those who say he was better than prime Ali are having a laugh.
George Foreman hit like a truck but his boxing skills were poor in his younger days and by the time he had become more skilful, he was too old to beat the top class fighters.
Tyson Fury would have given anyone a great fight but we will have to see how he does going forward. The advantage modern heavyweights have is size but would that be enough to counter incredible stamina and speed and skill?
Your Rocky Marcianos, Jack Dempseys, Joe Louis' and Jack Johnsons are hard to compare because of the size differences and styles. Ali certainly rated Marciano and Louis.
