Absolutely against selling him and want to see the best young players turn out for us. The "only a right back" bit is an oversimplification given the injuries and inconsistencies in the rest of the back four and the pace he brings. His attacking game needs work but defensively he's a beast of a player. How many times de he appear last season when we looked certain to concede ? £50 mil might buy us a couple of promising players from the Championship or a Benteke type to replace one of the best defenders in the Premier League. No ta. His sale would badly diminish our chances of staying in the league IMO.

The Sun report that we’ve slapped a 70m rating on him whilst Leroy Sane is valued at £50n. As good as AWB is, he’s not £70m and I can see us agreeing to £45-£48m with £5-£7m more should he make an England appearance, play X amount of games for United etc Edited by Bekken (15 Jun 2019 12.10am)

You also need to take into about the club, league, position and most important, what that player means to the club. City want to get rid of Sane so the price tag of 50m seems fair. AWB is much more valuable to us (as he is irreplaceable for us) than Sane is at City. Personally, a club like ours cannot turn down 50m (which is a shame) as we all want to see home grown lads turn out for the red and blue. But also, we don’t want to stand in their way. If he does go, I hope we have red circled some replacement (prayer emoji)

Of course players get sold. It's when they should be sold that is the issue.
