Absolutely, we are still waiting for answers as to why Windsor Castle burned down. Did the Queen get bunged £5,000? Did Corbyn pop round to show solidarity? The people demand to know. It must have been quite traumatic for her at the time to decide which of her other four houses she should live in.

I said a day or so again that some murky stories would start to come out in this. Regarding hotels which nick mentioned you cannot just Bung a family in a hotel room. I am a family of 6 and we have to book two inter connecting rooms if we go away to accommodate us all. Perhaps they didn't have that arrangement in some hotels, perhaps rooms were already booked so they couldn't accommodate people there indefinitely. Perhaps the only room was on a floor high up which understandably people might not be happy with. Some may have WANTED to go somewhere else in the country to be with other family and support networks. From reading some of your posts nick it seems like everything to you is either black or white when in fact there are a million shades in between. Not everything is as it seems when you give it some thought and scratch beneath the surface of stories. Two women on the itv news today. Saying they don't want to live in neighbouring blocks looking at the burnt out shell of the tower where people they know have died. I do understand that and I do sympathise. But the council and government simply do not have the resources to start rehousing people from the neighbouring buildings. If the house opposite me was to burn down tonight and kill all the occupants I would have to stay living here. I wouldn't be released from my tenancy. If I owned the property I would have to wait until I could sell if it bothered me that much. This is the time when people start to turn again others. It's a very delicate situation in that neighbourhood. A mixture of affluence, poverty, benefits claimants, single parents, working families, migrants, retired people. You name it. The moment you have people on the fringes who come across as entitled will be the minute the general public starts to turn its back.

Very well put Michaela, the trouble with nick is that if he can't blame "the Tory cunds" for it, he is at a loss to explain anything....

The Tories are responsible for a lot. Still if you think it's ok to sweep everything under the carpet and start saying victims should be grateful they're alive so a move to Birmingham is nothing, or we don't know the facts so don't judge. The facts are there. On the thread there are many examples of what is known for certain. But as usual, attention deflects to the victims rather than people responsible for the whole mess.

Wow - if ever one comment summed you up it's that one. Sod the victims there must be someone to blame, anyone to blame, quick blame someone. You are the same side of the coin of people who kneejerk into sweeping generalisations. It's a shame as on the odd occasion you make a valid point but it gets lost in the sea of trying to show just how sensitive you are, when in fact you are simply a keyboard version of those people who turn up to any march or demonstation just to cause trouble.

But as usual, attention deflects to the victims rather than people responsible for the whole mess. That statement is completely unbalanced. The victims have received massive amounts of sympathy and generosity from the public both officially and unofficially. No one is forced to give anything and those that start a culture of entitlement around victim-hood no nothing but stir up resistance. Your kind of activism does more harm than good.

He didn't say they should be grateful to be shipped half way up the country. No one said that. I pointed out there in some cases may be people who took that option as they have more of a support network there. Some of them may be glad to be away from the area. Councils sending people miles away isn't new. Again in reference to my own experience with Bexley borough I was threatened with being sent to Manchester at one point
