Don't blame Hennessey for the goal, blame Cabaye who mad a feeble tackle in the build up. Didn't Allardyce say that they don't coach "Tackling" at the club any more as in this modern era you can't make a tackle without being pulled up.He said they are taught to intercept etc etc.

Youth and reserve players get dragged across the coals of they go in on a first teamer in training.

If Hennessey wasn't in goal, we'd have "zero" in our goals against column. Yes, just how ridiculous it has become to blame him for every goal that is conceded.

Out of interest, why is the top corner ok but not the bottom? FWIW I have only watched the goal at the game and my initial thought was he could have done better. Most pundits seem to think it was a great strike and there wasn't much he could do Top corner is harder to save. Still this was not in the corner so IMO very poor to let it in. I still think it may not have cost us a point Spurs were well on top and would have pushed hard for a winner. WH is our best keeper and would be a good second choice next season if we can upgrade.

Although he does not save everything HUgo Llorris may be available on cheap as only last weekend he let a free kick in and just watched as one flew in the top corner, did not even try to dive. Joe Hart would soon be causing as many long threads as Hennessey if he plays like he did for England in the euros.

Soft goal - the midfield should have done better. But it wasn't a rocket and I thought he was going to save it

Really feel sorry for Henessey. 45 pages and growing every time he let's a goal in. Can't we all agree he's not a bad keeper who makes the odd mistake, and leave the guy alone....

I seem to recall a couple of years back that every single goal we conceded was Jules' fault. First rule of football: it's always the goalie's fault (even when it isn't).

This is why these threads rumble on. Jules put in more good performances than bad but we kept being told by a few on here he doesn't command his area distribution etc. Alex M and WH haven't brought the attributes that Jules was supposedly lacking despite their size / youth apart from WH''s kicking
