Rest In Peace staffie. A completely selfless man. Helped me out a lot in my short time as a HOL member especially on the occasions when I could not make it to a game

I didn't know it was possible to be so saddened by the loss of someone I've never seen, heard or met. In a way, he was a kind of guardian angel. He still is - only more so. Like everyone else, I will remember staffie with the greatest respect and fondness.

RIP staffie. I'll always remember the mass hysteria it caused when someone used a capital S for your name. Thanks for everything buddy.

Never met staffie but we had some great exchanges about the music biz and his wide knowledge of so many bands, plus his amazing downloads of course. This thread expresses incredible strength of emotion about a man who most of never met. A true gentleman with an incomparable willingness and generosity to help others. It seems his passing has affected us all because he was such a massive part of this community. He will be sorely missed, so it is important we mark his passing. RIP staffie.

It's always sad to news such as this. Like many on this site, I only knew staffie's online persona so I've no idea how old he was or what family he left behind. But he certainly will be missed by many, many Palace fans. Even his last posts showed how selfless he was when he hastily posted links to a game before running off to the hospital RIP.

I'm sure 'staffie', is reading these from above right now, and I can see a big wide grin on his face, as he see's the many words of love, laughs, and out pouring of admiration from ALL, he ever did for we mere mortals.. God bless you 'staffie', for always.. YOU, are a Palace legend.. RIP...

I have known him for over 40 years but he wanted his anomimity so please PM me for any details Quote Palacetinian at 21 Apr 2015 6.11pm
In fact just spoke to Jonny (Programme Editor) and they would be happy to put something in the match day Message Board (which this week appeared on P34 of the programme). However they will need this by tomorrow lunchtime (Wednesday). Any volunteers to write a nice piece / obituary? Again if anyone has a picture I'm sure fellow fans and HOLers would be keen to finally see staffie, an enigmatic man who did so much for our community. Glad you've got a response - I sent an email to communications@cpfc.co.uk a couple of evenings ago but haven't heard anything back - I'll leave it in the hands of mr Apollo and yourself Ramzi.

I think that given the contribution staffie made to the club over God knows how many years and the sheer outpouring and number of posts following his untimely death, it would be an extremely nice touch for SP or any Director to say a few words about the great man on here.
