And your point is?

Nope, I didn't take any money from them.

I wouldn't choose to work for Saudis again, but I didn't know what they were like until I had experienced it.

Should have done some research before working for them, basic really

We never doubted you did it “for the team”

Again, I was simply highlighting what happened in the full video that was posted, not one intentionally cut to deceive. If you run at people with a machete it's a more nuanced picture than if that had been omitted or hadn't happened. Indeed it's blindingly obvious that's why it was cut from the video, to distort documented footage.

I made it abundantly clear that those filmed should be tried for attempted murder as should happen with all of these violent instances. Thankfully in today's world where people have their phones perpetually out, many horrendous and criminal acts are caught on film. Indeed often people do not even appear to care that they are being recorded.

Whether people are seriously hurt, black or white, during this expanding mess, it's a tragedy. It's both counterproductive and disgusting to burn down your own community and hurt people even if you feel a disconnect from it. Much in the same way I will defend those peacefully protesting too. Plenty of peaceful protestors just standing around have been badly hurt. One white guy lost an eye when a canister was shot into it. A black guy standing around smoking a cigarette was left bleeding after being shot twice at close proximity. A family standing on their porch were shot at. I don't keep a mental tally of the colour of those hurt, nor do I lean on intentionally edited versions of events to shape how they are perceived.

Bearing in mind these demonstrations have been going on for days, who in their right mind takes young children? Or is it fake news/set up?

I take your points to an extent, including edited videos.

However, the point that this guy was defending his business and had every right to do so.....to me at least is a strong one.

His mistake was to come out into the open so that he could be quickly surrounded....not that he had a weapon.....wrong weapon.

He should have learnt from the rooftop Koreans.

Yes, if he was indeed doing that it should be factored in. Other than perhaps the individual he was chasing, that's pretty much why I believe that those attacking him would be found guilty of attempted murder. I hope they manage to track them down.

Feeling a disconnect is an interesting thought. Does that need putting in the post. I think it gives justification in some eyes. Being disconnected sometimes is a failure of trying not to connect. Would that be a serious thought.
