I agree with this but hope that the ridiculous idealogical wedge being driven into the Labour party is hammered home.

At the end of the day racists blowhards like Williamson and Burgon will never do anything ( like form a new party ) that will pull their heads out of the Westminster trough at the next GE or even risk recall.

Corbyn's constituents happy enough to be represented by a racist anti semite.

Thornberry doesn't care as long as the money comes in and there's plenty of cake

And boy she looks like she likes plenty of it

Although we hardly ever see her on our screens now despite her having a shadow cabinet post (still). I guess given the huge role she played in bringing down Corbyn with her imput into Labours second referendum manifesto pledge last year it is probably for the best. I must admit one of the election highlights was her trying to keep a straight face as she pledged to go to Brussels, negotiate a 'leave' deal that would then be put to British voters against a Remain option. And that she hereself would not only vote against her own deal but actively campaign for the Remain side.

There was a tragic beauty to it (not her).

She was never the same after that Sarlacc scene. I think R2D2 slipped something nasty into the cocktails.

She is a pompous, condescending idiot.

I cannot understand how she passed any legal exams.

We need a female ( other genders may apply ) word for a w***er.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Wouldn't disagree but probably for different reasons.

Labour's confusion over Brexit starts with Corbyn. He was the leader of the party that despite historically being a euro-sceptic campaigned (very poorly) to remain.

The "incorruptible" JC threw his own beliefs out the window at the first opportunity to tell the public he was 7/10 keen on remaining. When it comes down to it, he's just an activist with no solutions to anything and never takes accountability.

It's clear that the remain vote Labour supported was lost in the Labour heartlands across Wales and the North of England because the middle class racist is completely out of touch with what the people Labour traditionally represent want.

He should have stood down after the referendum, but the power hungry cult that followed him were too stupid to realise they don't represent the electorate. Last years bizarre policy was simply a flawed populist attempt to grab power any way they could, regardless of what Corbyn believes.

Whilst ignoring racism and failing to come up with a coherent policy on Europe it's hard to see what he did achieve as leader.

I think it's possibly slightly unfair that Thornbury has to go on newsnight and defend ridiculous policies. Everyone seems to be getting the blame for not supporting Corbyn enough, but how can any self respecting Labour MP publicly support some of the bulls*** they came up with.

I'm amazed that remain supporting Labour voters support him. His failures allowed both to happen.

Priti Patel is strong, determined and decisive.
She is popular with the membership because of her tough stance on immigration.
I am sure that calls for her resignation will be rejected by Boris Johnson.

I have nailed my colours to the mast numerous times on HOL, so my views, political and otherwise have been well documented on this cherished site.

We are clearly on opposite sides of the house.
HOL would be a poorer place if it was an 'Echo chamber'.

The imposition of the national security law on Hong Kong marked a clear erosion of the rights and freedoms for the people of this city.

The new route to the UK is part of a commitment to the people of Hong Kong.
China’s introduction of national security laws on Hong Kong breached the Sino-British joint declaration outlining the terms of the 1997 territorial handover, and we could not ignore it.

Anyway, the discussion subject is 'Jeremy Corbyn' !
