Isn't it odd that only a short while ago, the lefties formed 'No 2 EU', which evolved into TUSC, whose goals were to bring down the 'bosses union' that is the EU. Now they are falling over themselves, using CBI and BOE 'data', to prove that leaving the EU is wrong. I don't get it. Either you have political convictions or not.

I know its almost as if the left isn't a single homogenous whole with a single manifesto, but a varied and diverse collection of different ideas, groups and parties.

Of course that would be easier if one side hadn't been promising the moon on a stick and the other side the end of the world as we know it.

Isn't it odd that some people,in falling over themselves to made another generic knee jerk pop against "the left", equate the 0.1% who voted TUSC with all those they generically describe as being on "the left"...presumably anyone leftwards of Nigel Farage.... Bit like equating a poster with being a fascist admirer because the poster voted the same way as a fringe extreme right wing group on an issue... In any event, some very long distance from the stunning hypocrisy of those who one minute claimed all they wanted was to reclaim sovereignty and the sovereignty of parliament, and the next minute label judges as "enemies of the people" because they enact precisely the principle in question. I don't get it.Either you aspire to some level of credible objective analysis or not Edited by legaleagle (24 Nov 2016 9.49am)

I thought the judges did the right thing. What disappointed me, but didn't surprise me, is the usage of any judicial, media or so-called moral tool available by Remainers to try and stop Brexit. The above is an observation on how the usage of data from organisations previously dismissed as being tools of the establishment, is gleefully taken at face value by the Remain camp. Still, not much at the moment shocks me about the stifling predicatibility of modern society.

No comment yet from anyone regarding the Autumn Statement? Surely one of you Bremoaners can come up with something to cast doom and gloom about Brexit!

Yet when there is bad news it is ALL Brexit's fault. Makes very little sense. The fact is that our economy has not gone through any fundamental change yet, and won't for a while. We still have decent job growth, investor confidence and consumer confidence, problem is that this is being funded by startling levels of state debt that has been built up by both Labour and Conservatives.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

Economic forecasting is as reliable as reading tarot cards, or getting an African JuJu man to cast chicken bones on the floor..... LOL Even the weathermen are doing a better job of forecasting now they've realised the Jet Stream and El Nino are the major influences on global weather. But the OPB etc are still putting in iffy data with wild parameters and coming up with all sorts of results that suits their political agenda (even though they insist they are independent). The BBC can't wait to hype it further and then it's out in the domain and all of a sudden everyone is an expert - interviews with young mums in vegan cafes telling us how they are worried etc. The most sensible thing said yesterday was when the Chancellor said it was his first Autumn Statement and his last. I am surprised Gusset hasn't been on to suggest Balls was right all along though.... I guess he must be getting briefed by his union comrades.

Or perhaps I was joking (like Hoof did about hitting children to raise a response) in order to worm out of something I've said that's iffy.
