i recall the Russians attending a conference 30 years ago. They argued that colder countries would benefit from global warming.

And, indeed they do have a point. Its not all doom and gloom. Maybe Northern Scotland can start to grow tomatoes without a greenhouse.

Brilliant strategy to put extra taxes on during high inflation and a cost of living crisis. And more due - if I could, I'd actively vote against the greens. The return scheme when we already have a green bin was the straw that broke the camel's back. More taxes for the poor, elderly and vulnerable. Take note how wine barely goes up and you can see what kind of people they are. God forbid a guy can have a few cans.

Do not get me started on that. I refuse to use it and I absorb the stealth tax. The bottles go to the same place as the ones in our green bins which we still pay for.

I buy the 5 ltr bottles of water now as they are exempt. My last trip to England I got a tone of camden ale cans so hopefully they last me a while

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Rising sea levels caused by melting ice caps will cause much flooding and the loss both of living space and agricultural land. There will be mass migration as a consequence. This all needs to be anticipated and prepared for. For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

For sure some places will become nicer but that’s not the point. Some will become unpleasant to the point of being uninhabitable. Rising sea levels caused by melting ice caps will cause much flooding and the loss both of living space and agricultural land. There will be mass migration as a consequence.
