And we give him the right to stay here. No doubt granted him asylum. With Sturgeon happy to be photographed with him. It's getting boring to keep on banging on about how screwed the West is but this is a prime example.

It's like deliberately ingesting poison. A form of cultural suicide.

This is an ideal arena for the US and allies to fck it up.
Media access to any news is extremely limited due to the dangerous environment.
The US and allies can make up any old cr@p to publish/broadcast to suit their forward-thinking plans. Well, they could,...if they weren't just so fcking incompetent.

Who would have thought US/UK workers would be hunted and killed.? Who would have thought Sharia Law would lead to violence and murder ? Who would have thought that the Afghan economy would be so utterly useless that even more emphasis would be put on opium production and 'aid packages' from abroad ?

who would have thought, ....

All the lessons from Vietnam were seemingly completely ignored.

Essentially in general our elites aren't very good. They want the power and money but they don't produce the results that deserve them.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Western military feet back on the ground again there within three years. If anything the modest military presence was too effective. From a $$$ perspective for those who matter it's better for the place to go to hell again so that the cycle can repeat.

I'd say Iran is the target for US and other elites now....for multiple reasons.

I'd bet that Afghanistan will mainly be drone striked, if anything.

Terrorism requires money to really have teeth, and so the real drivers of that aren't hanging out in the land of the mountain goats....those are foot soldiers.

That sounds like I'd support military interventionism, when I don't. The middle east is somewhere the west should only use soft power in.......In terms of territorial disputes let them sort themselves out.

Though of course, because of disproportional influence in the US that won't be allowed to happen.
