Relax guys - we’ll bring in a few panic buys on Thursday & loan them out in January.

So Roy said today he wants 4 more players. Cahill is one and another seems to be Camarasa. That leaves a right back and a forward still to come in. The success of this window really depends on how good the forward ends up being. I have only read about us being linked to quality right backs so that is a positive if the stories have any substance.

I’m astounded that people are still happy to slag off Parish and generally moan and groan about the club having just achieved our highest ever points total in the Premier League.

We don’t generate a huge amount of money in comparison to other clubs and therefore have to spend within our means. Parish is trying to improve the situation by expanding the stadium and STILL that’s not good enough. Too many of you lot want immediate success and it is so BORING and UNREALISTIC!

Get real and try to understand it from their point of view. They no doubt want the best for the club and I’m sure they’re working hard behind the scenes. If you’re not happy with this, you’re not obliged to stay around.

Positivity breeds positivity, negativity breeds negativity.

I’m astounded that you’re astounded. After 6yrs in the prem & nearly £0.5billion in TV money, we are still making the same elementary mistakes in the transfer Windows.
No coherent strategy, last minute ‘pulled pants down’ purchases, Where is the evolution & learning from past transfer errors? That’s what most of us have issue with. You don’t have to be a large, rich club to be organised in the transfer market. Other posts have eluded to clubs our size or smaller that put us to shame with a basic model of when & how to conduct business.
Stop trying to defend the indefensible.
As for our commendable points total last season, nothing to do with Freedman or Parish & everything to do with Roy’s ability & acumen at setting up and organising a team with the components available to him.

Not the most relaxing of thoughts!

That was true, but alas it was based on his performance for one season at villa, as we now know one swallow does not make a summer, the fact was that he was not considered good enough for Liverpool by Klopp and because we were so desperate we did agree a stupid fee (27-30mil depending on who you talk to) even when other clubs were not fighting for his signature, so clearly the price was high and clearly others could see that the man had something missing. To be fair his fee was covered as I have already said by the 15 PL goals that kept us up in his first season. Then he became complacent did not work hard enough and his lack of floor skills were exposed. We should have off loaded him at that point even at a reduced fee to mitigate our losses (keeping us up in his first season and the revenue that provided for us was justification for taking a loss). Now we are stuck with him until his contract expires and this is holding us back. This is just another example of errors at the top and as we know there have been plenty of them in recent seasons!

I think it’s worse than this, and it’s not good for Parish what I’m about to say. It’s not just been down to Benteke’s laziness or complacency, but they are big factors as well.

After Benteke’s first season under Pardew and then Allardyce when Allardyce gave Benteke the correct supply, what did Parish do for the next season? He bought in FDB? What the fvck, and yes I did say that at the time. There was about 2-3 of us who did. After that it was Roy, who’s actually a good appointment and one of the successes that weren’t obvious like the others were. But again it’s football Benteke cannot play. All those intricate triangles Roy had us playing through teams with RLC was like trying to teach Benteke Chinese and Russian at the same time.

In short there’s no joined up thinking or coherent planning on the football with Parish. It’s been mistakes, fire fights and patch up jobs. Parish should’ve taken a backseat on the football at least 3 years ago, probably longer as I can’t remember what exactly or when I started saying he should.

Fully agree, what I cannot understand if Parish only has an 18% holding why on earth have the other Directors not taken action instead of letting him make mistake after mistake and still be in the driving seat picking up a salary that he does not deserve. We have made a complete hash of most of our transfer dealings past and present, for example why has it taken until the last few days of a transfer window to sign Cahill when everyone knew he was going to leave Chelsea on a free and that he wanted to remain in London. Our DOF is as useless as our Chairman when it come to succession planning, I despair that with the final 50 or so hours left in this window we still have not made any significant signing or unloaded some of our rubbish!

Outgoings?

You do realise we are operating at a loss?

Also, we have huge infrastructure investment on the near horizon and cannot behave like every other team in this division, including the newly promoted ones.

What? Spurs? They are a vastly bigger entity than us and are far less likely to be impacted by the redevelopment of their ground.

Rebuild our ground, develop the training facilities, get the academy up to Cat A, massively increase non-TV revenue and free us from the shackles of FFP... and maybe then you will have a point.

Many have been moved on including Puncheon,Souare ,Sorloth so cut in wages bill is huge.

We so badly need new owners with deep pockets. That will take us forward. Not building an oversized stand with 6000 more seats for £150M. That will be our downfall.

And who’s gonna fill them in the Championship or League One?

I can’t recall competing with 40,000 others for tickets in seasons past

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Not Accurate (if this article is to be believed). Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding what he's saying.
