Hardly a surprise opposition MP slags off government whilst glossing over the same failings of her own colleague. It's why I hate politicians "Sir Sir Boris minor stuck his tongue out at me"" ad nauseam.

I think that "largely" is a huge understatement as it's the media lead by the BBC that is keeping the pot boiling on this one

Like many others I assumed that his son was autistic because I read it somewhere but Dominic Cummings hasn't mentioned it at all and I'm wondering whether it was true or not. Surely if his son was really autistic he would have mentioned it in his press conference as that may well have swung public opinion in his favour

On channel 5 at the moment they’re discussing regional lockdown. Our lovely little Alex Jones wants full national lockdowns when the R number increases but couldn’t answer when asked what happens when someone gets it in Nottingham. Do we lockdown Britain? Dr Sarah in her Element as usual. Talking about isolating classrooms of kids at home if one of them has a temperature and after they all test negative 48 hours later they can go back to school. What if another child has a temperature a day(S) after they return? Constantly in and out of school, people can’t go to work, nobody is building up immunity and this just goes on and on for longer. I didn’t see any supermarkets, hospitals, police stations, delivery companies closed if one person had symptoms or even Covid. I think we could be fvcked as a country if we don’t accept that this is going to run its course. The chance of a child dying from Covid is something like 1.16 million to one, but let’s ruin the lives of millions of kids isolating everyone.

The facts of the matter are the first mention of this online came from a account that is now deleted on Twitter. When first contacted by a journalist the account advised they had heard it on LBC the previous day, there was no information to this effect on LBC the previous day. Later the account messaged the journalist advising they may have misheard the information on LBC. The story has subsequently been picked up by sections of the web and gained traction. I'm not looking to cast judgement, and I completely understand why Cummings wouldn't want to bring this up in the event it is true.

I have already stated that if I found myself in the same position as Dominic Cummings I would do exactly the same and remove the family from the Midlands to my relatives in the North East and my main reason for doing so is because my son is autistic
