I will add one thing to your undisguised bias towards Trump. He has ordered a full inquiry into the death of this poor man & he is always going to be in a damned If he say's something & damned if he doesn't. Ordering an "inquiry" into the death could hardly have been avoided by any POTUS. Following it up with the incendiary language in the tweet was truly shocking. It would have got most people banned from Twitter and coming from any leader, let alone the President, deserves the strongest condemnation. There is simply no excuse for it. I reject ALL suggestions of bias against Trump. It's impossible to be biased against someone with absolutely no trace of merit in him. He is a fail from head to toe so nothing that can be said is bias. It's all fair criticism.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Protest yes if you want but not an excuse to riot, steal and rob. Unless you agree with it obviously.

As MLK said - 'A riot is the language of the unheard'. I understand the visceral anger of many in the US, it ultimately took 4 nights of unrest to get the department to bring charges against this officer. That is a seriously broken system. Sadly, rioting is ultimately counterproductive in the long term. This from Killer Mike captures what needs to be done - [Tweet Link]

There is always state sponsored violence against law breakers, that is essentially how our punitive justice system works. Otherwise there is anarchy, which is being promoted by some during these riots. The US President represents the Law of the USA, and is making what you call a threat to stop further criminality.

............ & Sleepy Joe? Sleepy Joe was interviewed on MSNBC (and clips rebroadcast on major networks, too) yesterday. No script, spoke to the conversation he had with Floyd's family and did so eloquently and with the compassion and tone you'd expect of a leader. Contrast this with Commander Douchebag at the Rose Garden address yesterday. Not a single mention of the incident (nor his incendiary tweet response to the overnight rioting in Minneapolis) and promptly left the podium to dodge press questions. No surprise. Then, at his next appointment (a round table with "Reopening Industry Executives) he made mention of his call with the family. Not surprisingly, his comments were scripted... dreary, monotone delivery we've come to expect... eyes constantly dropping to notes on the table. He is an embarrassment - to all, other than the thugs/nitwits who continue to buy his drivel. Edited by gazzerp (30 May 2020 5.06pm)
