CBI took money from Brussels: One wonders whether this influenced any of the materials they produced, which Michael gleefully posts on here, stating how bad Brexit would be for the country? Hope they clear that up for us.

Hope they clear that up for us. The CBI receives around £150,000 per year from the European Commission especially for them to produce surveys of business opinion. Do you think for the sake of a measly 0.6% of annual income they would purposely choose to engage in misrepresentation? Of course you do.

Small fry anyway. Expect to get preferential treatment under a Trump presidency which would more than make up for it. I doubt it. Isolationist outlook - We'll only get preferential treatment on the US best interests, and even then we'll have less capacity to influence the deal than the EU would have (and certainly much less leverage). We'll be ok, but I don't for a minute think we'll be personally financially better off out of the EU. I think some people will greatly profit from the assorted trade deals, but that won't be the general population except by 'accident over design'.

I asked you previously - which tellingly you didn't answer - whether you thought that the Remain camp had 'sexed up' the dire premonitions of societal and economic collapse following a Leave vote. The fact that one of the largest contributors to the Remain propaganda campaign received money from Brussels must make you think that maybe you were being spoon fed false information that you lapped up and subsquentialy defecated over these boards to support your position on the referendum and the result. You have said numerous times that the Leave campaign utilised the 'extreme right [sic]' media to perpetuate myths about the EU, why the reluctance to question those who support your views?

Far from preferential treatment Trump thinks Europe should pay much more for NATO quite justifiably IMO
