I have seen several articles about the civil case in NY accusing Trump of fraud brought by the NY AG. Trump is accused of artificially inflating his wealth in order to obtain a better deal with the banks. The main points of these articles was this. Charge. Trump is accused of inflating his wealth when talking to the Forbes 500 wealthiest people list. Answer. So what it's a magazine article with no legal bearing. If he did exaggerate it's no different to the bloke down the pub bragging about how much money he has. Besides Forbes have their own investigators as quite often "The Rich" refuse to co-operate with them so why didn't they challenge that number. Charge. Trump did the same with the banks to get loans. Answer. Similar to above, if he did the banks don't except what people say at face value so what investigations did they do. Besides Trump has not defaulted on payment so where are the victims. Charge. The judge has just ruled that his Mar a Lago property is only worth between -25m not the 0m that Trump claims. This lower valuation the judge accepted comes from a local political appointee so no bias there.. According to the author of the article who has actually been to Trumps property he think that Trump has undervalued it and it is worth closer to a bn. Two things to bear in mind Palm Beach is one of the most expensive areas in the US. And secondly this is not just a house but an estate including prestigious golf course with memberships costs of £200k pa. A similar sized property down the road went for 0m. Once again I am not a fan of trump but this stinks.
The case is bulls*** of the highest order - despite what will or has been posted. The common sense person knows, full stop, that no rich person officially overstates their wealth. They might brag and lie - who cares. However, and completely obviously despite these ridiculous made up charges, wealth isn't overstated officially due to tax. Wealth is usually hidden. I could single out any number of people for that - including Biden. But everyone does that so again, who cares. And who can blame people avoiding taxes when it's wasted on sh1t that does the person no good whatsoever. So to try to charge someone, seriously, with overstating wealth, has to be one of the most moronic things I've ever heard. Or anyone with common sense has ever heard. I believe Trump's words were "ludicrous". On this, every person with common sense will surely have to agree.

America under the Democrats is a banana republic with air conditioning. Ever since they came into power everything has gone to sh1t......No one can say it wasn't predicted.

Trump and his associates were allegedly overstating asset values to achieve lower cost loans. Unless and until they get sold no-one knows what they are actually worth, or what tax will be due. Until then industry norms will apply, and not fanciful valuations by someone whose valuation of everything he touches exceeds reality. I bet that if and when anything does get sold it’s much closer to the industry norm than Trump’s over valuation. It’s in his interest that it should be, because of taxation. He’ll have an excuse ready. It will be someone else’s fault. Exactly what was done and why it could be fraudulent remains unclear but you don’t bring a case like this on a whim or without evidence. It most surely isn’t ludicrous. If it was it would not have got this far.

Anti-vaccer Kennedy will bring shame on a proud heritage by standing on a ticket that will only attract those who believe in debunked nonsense. He talks sense on some issues but his stance on vaccines obliterates all of them and casts him into the looney bin of history. Surely there must be someone better than that?

Political bias none at all. That there has been long standing disquiet about the activities of Trump the “businessman” in NewYork and a determination to bring him to justice there, seems true. Whether he later decided to be Republican or a Democrat would have made no difference to that.

There doesn't seem to be the same energy to go after either Chirlaine De Blasio over her missing $750M or even Andrew Cuomo over his Covid BS. Both Democrats.
