I don't usually say anything quite so rude to my friends. We have continuous exchanges. He sends me streams of conspiracy theories and quotes from Alex Jones and the like and I debunk them. As some of the actions he is contemplating would actually hurt him I do my best to disavow them as unnecessary. Some of the very committed Trump disciples have seemingly lost all power of independent evaluation and are willing to believe whatever they are told, so long as it comes from certain people.

Do you beleive that everything the dems say and do is true and correct or at least for their voters.
I wont take a "well more than trump anyhow". One thing makes them just as bad surely as it affects people and lives.

No of course not. No more than I believe that everything every Republican says is a lie. There are many honourable Republicans who are boxed in by their system from speaking out as I suspect they would wish to. The current exception seemingly being Mitt Romney who is risking his political future by speaking his mind. It's the US system which is the real problem. That's the swamp that needs draining.

It makes our politics look tame. The excessively tribal nature of both parties disproportionately contorts people into sad caricatures. On top of that in the Internet age, integrity and nuance don't sell; comforting clickbait does. We live in unfortunate times.

You might say they are curious and unusual.

Depending on a person's politics, yes they may well be.

The thing that f***s black americans over is the welfare state that the Democrats introduced and advocate rather than funding projects that would bring job prospects to the area they would rather keep them poor and relying on the government. Trump introduced jobs to these areas and gave them an opportunity to steer there own destiny and up until COVID it was working perfectly fine. Rather than critique his role in providing opportunities for their communities which has been successful they would rather build a "he looks down on you" campaign. From what I've read I think Trump has won a lot of them over not most but enough to make a difference in the upcoming election. I dont defend trump because he is a good man I think he is anything but. However his policies have been great for a lot of long suffering people dont judge a leader based on their personalities base them on results. In the 2nd world war Montgomery was apparently a massive t*** however he was one of the most successful generals who's methods of winning battles meant he saved a lot of his troops lives even if on a personal level he didnt care about them at all. There are hundreds of examples of utter c***s indirectly being everything the tolerant people claim to be without even knowing it themselves.

I agree with a lot of your post.

Trump has been very good for those in the black community who wanted to get on.

However, let's be realistic about how in general the US black community view internal politics. The voting stats are all there to see. Election after election their figures are predictable.

Trump's approval rating is at 3 percent.......Lets repeat that....despite providing the largest black employment figures in US history a white republican can only manage 3 percent.

There are excellent black republican voices in America and we have mentioned them in this thread but the painful truth is that while they get a lot of attention from white republicans and the right generally....they represent a very small minority within their black community.

The US black community in general look at the Democrats and they see a party that's going to pander to them and ensure welfare, ensure the enlargement of the parasitic 'diversity' industries. They are very aware that the richest blacks anywhere in the world are in the US.

Most of their fellow black influencers are bought and sold to Democrats and that's who they listen to.

The entrepreneurial class are always a small percent of any group and it's mainly those who will vote for Trump.

Trump is more likely to have success with hispanics.

NAIL ON HEAD. I see this on a daily basis in the South Bronx. The Democrats want to keep the Blacks poor no two ways about it.
I do a lot of business with Blacks (I refuse to call them African Americans, they are not, they are American)& all to a man or woman want to better themselves & you'd be pleasantly surprised at the amount of them who although may find Trump rough around the edges actually over all agree with a lot of what he does especially for small businesses & entrepreneurs.
It's a national disgrace that in the so called richest country on earth that you can see people lined up at a food bank. Even the two schools down the street have earnest liberal looking types giving out food parcels. How f***ing patronising is that? The foods are straight out of the 'We think you should eat healthier book'
Almond milk, Gluten free pastries etc etc.
Funnily enough as I walk past every day not once, once have they asked If I need a food parcel. I'm guessing that a I'm a Cracker I can probably fend for myself.

If you want to keep people down make sure they have to rely on you. If you can come across as compassionate while you do it even better.
