That seems a balanced and objective summary of the situation he faces. The idea that he could postpone jail time if elected again or, more probably, pardon himself of the federal charges and expect the Republican Governor of Georgia to do it there does put the whole future of US democracy on the line. If he is found guilty of any of these charges and manages to escape punishment it opens the door to all kinds of future possibilities.

It is crystal clear that the moves against Trump are politically motivated, as were Coutts moves against Farage. It just is not. Only those who are willing to once again be duped by Trump’s rhetoric will see this in such a simple way. These are the wheels of justice turning at their own speed and driven solely by the need to ensure everything is ready before moving. It would be crazy on all levels, even if it were administratively possible, for the Democrats to interfere with the work of the Justice Department, let alone the State of Georgia.

He could always hang himself inside within a few days; the tapes could go missing and the two guards be asleep. These things happen. Oh well, move on, nothing to see here.

I wonder how long it'll be before you see this kind of thing being said at the Cornwall council meetings. [Tweet Link]

The man making the gay sex claims is a convicted fraudster who is unable to provide any proof to the story. He maybe telling the truth but with his background he should not be given the benefit of the doubt. Even if it is true so what? To be honest this is no different to the unsubstantiated BS the media have reported about Trump in the past.
