I hope Parish makes it a painful experience for them to get this over the line.

It would be hilarious if Parish turned out to be the ultimate football pimp... "You like our Michael? £43million in our English money and you can talk to him. You want him to play with your balls? Oh, that will be 50million plus a tip."

In the past week many. have said that £50mill is cheap for Olise. Personally I think in the present market he is worth more. So good luck to Parish,,even if he doesn’t get his true value ,wanting a lot more than £43mill is absolutely justified . It hurts the club enough when the big outfits come calling without living with the knowledge you have been ripped off.

I feel like Parish priced Zaha out of that arsenal move too and look how that ended!
This was once a quality forum.... |

I think Olise is worth nearer 100m than 50m, so if they're really being difficult over that then they are absurd. Would love it if it fell apart, though I suspect somebody else would take advantage instead.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I must admit I thought the protocol in these matters was that when there was a release clause the buying club had to confirm that they were willing to meet the release clause value before they were allowed to talk to the player. Wasn't there an issue with Chelsea & Benfica over Fernandez where Chelsea said that they would meet the release clause, got permission to speak to the player & then having turned the players head, offered less ?
