The why's don't really matter. It didn't work out for him with us, but he has got a good payday at a new club and we have done alright out of the deal. Wish him the best of luck.

Good luck to the guy... I don't blame him at all for not mentioning Palace in his goodbyes... Let's be honest he was never given a fair crack here, treated like s*** by Roy and Ray and farmed out in what can only be described as one of the most bizarre loan arrangements in football history... Thank God we got something for him... Best of luck to him. I have a sneaky suspicion he will only get better and better.

None of us thought he was any good, he was poor to put it politely, let's not pretend we had Salah on our hands. He's done well in Turkey, let's see how he gets on in Germany, my thought's are we've done brilliantly getting the money we have done for him, and hopefully we can get in another striker.

Hopefully £10m towards some younger players (Downes & Kotchap?)
