The shot would have beaten most keepers in the premiership, in fact probably all. The new footballs sometimes act like beach balls and just move wickedly when struck with such power. Yes a good point about these modern day footballs. Far cry from the halcyon days when footballs had laces and got heavier and heavier as they got wet and mud from pitches stuck to them.

Wayne makes at least one mistake per game and last night got punished for it which cost us 2 points. We need to upgrade our keeper in the Summer Wayne is pony. That is a gross generalisation. Having said that, and watched the goal this morning on SkySportsNews, he perhaps should have done better, although the defender turning his back on the shot would have obscured his vision. He was definitely in the right position to stop it as he was slightly to that side of the goal to start with. As has been said, it might have moved a bit in the air. I was just as concerned that we created very little last night, and nothing at all in the second half when they were pushing forward.

Is it me but Hennessy doesn't seem as passionate to play for Palace than wales.

What a completely pointless comparison. When de Gea joined Man Utd, he was a still raw 21 year old. Hennessey is currently 30 and has been in the league 13 years.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Very good shot but should never beat the keeper from that range unless its in the top corner. Might have cost us a point they may well have won anyway.

Out of interest, why is the top corner ok but not the bottom? FWIW I have only watched the goal at the game and my initial thought was he could have done better. Most pundits seem to think it was a great strike and there wasn't much he could do

How many times did he kick the ball straight off the pitch last night?

Spurs worked a space and was given time and space and Erikson hit with little backlift. It went in pretty sharpish if you ask me, in a blink of an eye in fact If the keeper is at fault then the midfield has to hold its hand up too. Giving Erikson room is taking liberties and we paid the price One of the best goals I've seen at Selhurst. Top quality

He irrates me. He has the build to be a great goalkeeper. He's improved collecting the ball from corners. I remember reading an article where Ian wright said that Hennessy costing us points. There's some good goalkeepers in the bundesliga. Could we attract someone like Leno to Palace.

WH should have had this covered unless he was unsighted. He seemed slow to get down. Shot wasn't bad but nothing spectacular.
