no more excuses or delays. There are teams down in League One ( or i daresay league two ) with stadia significantly bigger than ours.

Let's not re-gurgitate that debate.

I think the decision will hinge on this season, as I can't see us maintaining sell-outs if we drop to the Championship, unfortunately.

so we get relegated and keep the stadium the same, so that the next time we get promoted we will be facing down the same barrel we are staring at, at the moment??

the premier league has never been so cash rich, we need a legacy to come from being here for 4 years

players/teams, managers come and go..... the stadium is here forever

Redevelopment needs to take place whatever league we are in. The size of parachute payments now means that there is no excuse for it to be delayed any further. In fact you could argue given the probable drop in player salaries, it will free up a little more money.

In my opinion, which league we are in should only have an impact on quite how far any redevelopment goes.

Very true. I just don't see the point of expanding the stadium, if the attendances will plummet, which I think they would upon relegation. I hope I'm wrong and I hope it is redeveloped, because the Arthur Wait is f***ing dire.

Whilst the money is available we have to do this. There won't be enough money in the championship to pay for the redevelopment of Selhurst. Every premiership club has either build a new stadium or redeveloped since the Holmesdale reopened in 1995. Same is true for a load of championship clubs. otherwise we'll never have the capability of reaching higher than a lower half premier league club.

For some teams have struggled as a result of redevelopment, but with the exception of Coventry all these clubs are now in a stronger position than before.

Other clubs like Portsmouth and Wimbledon didn't get their infrastructure in order and paid the price for it.

If we do go down, I think we'll still get 22,000 a week for the first season too.

I pretty much agree with you, but the bit in bold is a wild leap!

Increased capacity and hopefully higher attendances - where is everyone supposed to park ? I'm concerned about traffic flow around all the congested roads.Maybe 'Park and Ride' will be necessary.
