I assume that is some kind of negative comment about something. What is quite beyond me Yes, Starmer got a knighthood following his stint as DPP. Not bad for a state school lad from a family of five children in Southwark. They f***ing dole out those knighthoods like confetti nowadays so that's no achievement.

Born in Southwark. Reigate Grammar was a voluntary aided state school at the time. It's one of the poshest schools in the area and only the privileged could afford and this was in the 80s. The bloke lived in oxted a very affluent area and his dad the tool maker was the owner of a tool making factory. He's a posh boy and comes from ££££. So Labour will have another rich kid leader. Have Labour in recent years had any real working class leaders? All the people I know who vote Labour are far from working class folk! Edited by cpfc_chap (04 Apr 2020 4.40am)

How much did he pay to go to school? I too passed my 11+ and went to a Direct Grant school. I always understood DG and VA schools weren’t allowed to charge fees for pupils, I expect you know better
