The players mentioned would not shine as brightly individually with us, players need to receive the ball and also have someone to give it to, Zaha will definitively be an asset to any of the top six, his only problem has been dealing with his emotions off the ball after contact ...will probably cost him any move due to it. Edited by Tickled pink (21 Sep 2019 6.07pm) You're right. Football at large doesn't like emotion. In fact most PC ways prefer no emotion. We are fast becoming emotionless! There are happily a few exceptions.....Wilf and definitely myself!!

VAR should now be helping players from having to behave like us fans lol ..but it appears a bit hit and miss doesn't it, the really good players are able to express their emotions in ways to deceive the very best referees often without having to open their mouths! Zaha will without any doubt be taught these skills at a top club!!

"As much as I do on the pitch, I can't play in every position. I give 100 per cent, but there are 11 on the pitch and everyone needs to pull their weight". Are you sure that you weren't listening with the Zaha rose-tints on? He's not necessarily wrong, but it might be politic for him to keep such thoughts away from the media. No, if you listen to the actual interview you will know that the quotes have been lifted and spun. I did, however, listen to it and instantly think this is going to be twisted and his wording could have definitely been better. For the interview though, you could tell he isn't the kind of person that does many interviews as often a question would be asked and there would be a 30 second pause before an answer and they weren't always the most eloquent. I certainly don't think there was any malice in it but there was also an element of justifiable frustration that has probably be borne out from the lack of his summer move and playing with players that he is having to carry a fair amount.

Looks like he dodged a bullet by not signing for Everton. Marco Silva may not be around for much longer. Agree. Mourinho anyone?

Agree. Mourinho anyone? Had a good read of their forum last night and they are split between those who are convinced Mourinho would love to go to Everton (deluded scousers) and those who don't think he would touch them with a barge pole (spot on scousers). They also think Wilf still wants to go there....
"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017. |

Problem is the more he says the less any top club will want him, unless he plays out of his skin up to the January window I cant see any hope of the club even getting what was offered before. I was going to say something similar. At the moment his value is dropping by the week. If he doesn't buck his ideas up both he and Palace will wish he'd gone to Everton for that 60 million, or whatever it was, during the summer window. Although he flapped his arms around in the usual manner yesterday whenever he perceived any injustice he didn't react that strongly when fouled - has he turned over a new leaf or is it another sign his heart is not in it at the moment?

Everton offered £52 mil, not £60 mil. It’s still early days but January could come very fast or slowly for us or him. I’m interested to see if when Townsend comes back in, Wilf goes back to the left. (I think we need Wilf on the right)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Thought wilf had a fairly good game today but second half especially he seemed injured as he had no interest in receiving the ball and just kept on passing the ball back to Wardy, who passed it back to wilf and so on.
