You had a duty of care to your clients and clearly failed and now want to blame someone. Where are your masks, aprons and ventilators for this 'known' pandemic. Have you got enough sanitizer and other cleaners. Any chance you have copy or your 'pandemic' procedures (in case of) that you can link. Site specific outbreaks you will have as all homes do but as we all know this is not one of those. I doubt you have so shouting from the rooftops about how bad the government have done should really be a whisper into your dictaphone. "Must try harder".

I wrote them years ago for another organisation. I only recently joined this one. We had contingency plans that relied on local authority plans. Their plans assumed the NHS would deliver its part. The NHS plans presumably assumed the Government would not drop the ball. The only way to plan is in an integrated way. So it’s our fault the promised PPE didn’t arrive? Beyond a joke.

You didnt use the 6 p's then maple. Government policy was to emasculate our business which is charitable. It required us to take a reduction in income of 12% over the past four years to pay for its austerity strategy, despite the costs rocketing due to the minimum wage rises. As a result there was no hope we could prepare properly for this risk. We were too busy using any reserves we had to pay for our Grenfell response. Edited by Mapletree (29 Mar 2020 12.44pm)

No. Our preparations were based upon firm promises, for example of PPE being provided through the local authorities. You can’t deflect the dreadful Government response onto others although no doubt Government will try And no vanity projects, what a dumb assertion. I told you, Government had removed 12% of our income already putting at risk the old people we care for And the awful mixed messages in response to Grenfell made us pay for unnecessary changes. So no, we did all we could. Blame lies elsewhere And, as with everything else, the Government gambled on the absolute minimum of ventilators and all other services in pursuit of its political goals against the advice and the opposition views. Now that gamble has been shown to be lethal. I don’t expect any contrition, or even real signs of caring Edited by Mapletree (29 Mar 2020 1.42pm)

Real signs of caring! I thought the deadline for PPE was last August. No my mistake, that was PPI. Maybe the ambulance chasers will start TV advertising for 'did you fail to get PPE ?'
