WE can be annoying but I would prefer both him and Stirlingsays to come back we don't want an echo chamber. Anyway that's not my call feel sorry for the moderators who have to trawl through our comments. Stirling and I see eye to eye on a number of topics, so I'm sympathetic to his position, whereas I find Wisbech quite nauseating. He is only here to be a pain in the neck, but then, I guess that is how the BBS clique used to feel about me and a few others back in the day. The difference being of course that they are all lefty scum and we are all lovely people.

Remember the students in UK who rushed to vote for Corbyn on a similar theme. This crack pot idea would have meant millions of taxpayers who didn't go to college paying the debt of those that did and likely have better paying jobs.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Interesting the way the media has spun this. All about MAGA Supreme Court judges and little about what they actually said. Biden was trying to use a very specifically defined law aimed about US serviceman to broaden it out to all US citizens. The SC simply said that the intention of the law did not allow that and if the administration wants to so this they should ask congress to pass a law. I don't see this as a conservative republican issue simply the SC saying the legislature should be responsible for passing laws and not the SC through the back door.

The more you learn about it the more you seem to find that the Feds were all over what happened on January 6th. The Republicans need to clear house in the intelligence services (the democrats won't do it for obvious reasons) and actually staff them with apolitical people concerned with crime rather than looking more like crime organisations for political hire as they seem to have become.

Reuters have published a report that lists various US senators, judges, governors and presidents who have ancestral links to slave owners. Joe Biden is on the list along with all living former presidents (including Obama). Only one living former president has no slavery connections – Donald Trump. All worth a chuckle, but a far more serious point is that Reuters also conducted a poll asking Americans whether knowing that candidates had ancestors who owned slaves would influence their vote. A shocking 23% said they would be less likely to vote for them, an astonishing 31% among Democrats and (perhaps predictably) 35% among black people. The sins of the fathers and all that.
