The latest figures I have perused indicate that Sunak has broken through the 100 barrier with 103 nominations. The total nominations thus far represent 55% of the total number of Conservative MPs. Edited by Willo (21 Oct 2022 11.30pm)

The idea that anyone at all could seriously think that putting Johnson back into No 10 was the answer in these circumstances I find completely staggering. The world is already laughing at us. Just imagine what doing that would do to our reputation and credibility. That some MPs, and Party members do, just demonstrates how the little bubbles they live in do not represent the real world outside. The last couple of months has been crazy, with the stupid decision to choose Truss as PM, inevitably followed by even more stupid decisions. We cannot, surely, go on making stupid decisions? Now is the time for sensible men and women to start acting responsibly. In the national interest.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Oh do dry up Wisbech. Thesaurus swallowing pointless grandiliquence (!) is Willo's style. And now we are in agreement, the total desiccation of WE would be a wonderful thing. I have found the self discipline to not engage with his self indulgent nonsense.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Though you do have more in common than you think Any situation - you both know someone who’s an expert you have spoken to. Any situation - you both have absolute conviction in your beliefs. Any situation - you think you are superior in opinion Anyone checked the IP addresses?

I hope Johnson becomes PM, I hope he sits down at his first press conference & silently pulls out a cake & begins eating it ignoring questions, finishes his cake gets up & walks off. I want to see all the right people boil their piss. I'd also enjoy this. With him wearing a baseball cap with 'Where's the party' on it. Just imagine Croydon Proud's head exploding with all those emoticons too!

Elwood's tweet is quite telling. Conservatives have been completely infiltrated by the left like all institutions in the UK & his phrasing of reset to me shows what the real motive is. You will own nothing & be happy.
Edit - he deleted the tweet when he was rightly called out so attached a screen grab Edited by Ouzo Dan (22 Oct 2022 8.54am) Attachment: IMG_20221022_095303.jpg (156.24Kb)

Well this lot have made a right horlicks of it. As for your "sensible men / national interest" comment sure I think we can all agree with that sentiment however you ignore the reality that our politicians are self serving and egotistical. So once again its theory versus reality.

Edited by Willo (21 Oct 2022 11.30pm) But here’s the problem. If Johnson breaks through the 100 votes and goes head to head with Sunak the ridiculous members will elect Johnson and hang the consequences. Everyone with a mere modicum of common sense knew that Truss would be a massive car crash. It was blatantly obvious but these bloody morons put her in, regardless.(And now they’re all voting again. What’s the definition of madness)? So I hold the Tory party and members, as a collective, responsible for crashing mine and others pensions and for hitting our mortgages - amongst other serious consequences. Most of these people are likely older, most probably have final salary pensions, live in large many bedroom homes (bigger than the rest of us can ever hope to afford these days), had free uni education or come from money. These f***ers are not ‘normal’ voters - they are detached from the realities that face the vast majority of the population - and I fail to see why they should have more say in this debacle than the rest of us.
