I did as you suggested, appears that use of private emails is subject to " guidance " and is certainly not illegal. Who would do the investigating and to what purpose? For me, a clearer set of rules would be a good start.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Interesting odds, key point for him to go without resigning requires the parliamentary Conservative party to take action. I can't see that happening until they have seen the damage done reflected in the May elections. I always thought he might not see out his term because he can't afford to financially.

So the photos of the parties are about to come out. "Police have a photograph of Boris Johnson holding a can of a beer at his lockdown birthday party in June 2020, the Mirror has been told. The Prime Minister is pictured standing next to Chancellor Rishi Sunak, who is holding a soft drink, in No10’s Cabinet Room. Sources said Mr Johnson appeared to be raising his can of Estrella beer towards the camera in a toast. The bombshell image was thought to have been taken by Mr Johnson’s official taxpayer-funded photographer who was documenting the event." How fcking thick do you have to be, holding a lockdown-busting event,...and having your photographer record it ?

IMHO people have already factored such photos into the Boris equation, the key point now is how much damage does it do to Conservatives in May elections. Whaatever you think of him , he is a proven winner and the red wall voters are nowhere near as obsessed with Partygate as the Westminster bubble media and Islington dinner parties. People are much more concerned with more important things like inflation and energy prices. If he was required to ensure another Conservative majority I would hold my nose and accept it. It's all very socialist to be wetting your knickers about a Downing Street party when the Russians are threatening to invade the second biggest country in Europe. Equally, the halfwits on the Tory back benches who see this as an opportunity really need to wise up quick. The desperation to get rid of Boris is becoming a little pathetic.
Priorities.

Priorities. To be fair, sending someone with zero credibility to discuss something as important as this doesn’t look great for us. Until we get our own house in order we carry less weight than we ought.

In which case, all concerned should be getting behind him instead of undermining. Churchill was always hindered by socialists, and he did alright.

Fair point but it does then beg the question what exactly do you have to do wrong to get to the stage where you no longer get the support of your party? We have enough crises in this country to stay in power for ever on the basis you ignore misgivings when one arises. I’m not for knee jerk reactions but this PM has lost the confidence of the public which means he is harming his party and should go.

Johnson has always looked like a joke to me and, I suspect, to many overseas. Now though he looks like a bad joke to almost everyone. If the UK expects to be respected and it's word to be taken seriously, then our PM needs to be a serious politician and to show respect. He has to go. For every conceivable reason. I think the delay is not that he is going but in deciding who Central Office will anoint as his successor. That's a big decision as it will set the course of the Tory Party, and the country, for years to come. More of the same, or a change of direction?
