Who would have believed the words " worse than Ed Miliband " would be used in a sentence.

I am happy for him to be there for decades

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Of course a second vote would have been fair! What a ridiculous notion that it might not be. After all that had happened during the original campaigns and the hugely enhanced knowledge that the voters had acquired it wasn't just fair, it was essential. Only those fearful their prize might be snatched away would resist it.

We didn't know about the pandemic at the time so that was not part of the scenario. In the event it might have forced a delay, but that would have been an unforeseen consequence.

I know of no-one at all who favoured remaining who has changed their mind. Quite the reverse. There are many very disillusioned fishermen and other exporters who believe we have been sold down the river. Just as I always have.

Of course people are pleased with our Covid handling but that's attributed not to Brexit but to the NHS. The unedifying scrambling of the EU created some bad PR but hasn't undermined the over-riding principles involved.

I know of 4 people. Re covid; imagine if we didn't have the ability to buy the vaccine without the eu permission. More death, more financial outlay, more lockdowns. The finance alone would overtake any potential losses made for the foreseeable so if its about money then leaving has in fact saved the UK money. The fact it was unseen is irrelevant. Fact is stranger than fiction!

Nobody knows what the situation here, or in the EU, would have been on the Covid response had we remained. You make assumptions but our influence and vaccine development could have also mediated their approach to the benefit of everyone. How you come to the conclusion we are "saving money" beats me. Those still earning have all saved money since Covid because there has been little chance of spending it. There are already the signs of a spending boom about to be released but don't be misled, our medium to long term economic situation is significantly worse as a consequence of Brexit.

Starmer has remained largely unnoticed by the media. There is great political capital to be made from Government errors, and yet Starmer still appears to be continuing his 'support role' he advocated at the start of Covid.
Having no perceived viable opposition is politically damaging to the UK, regardless of your political sway.

Politicians should be held to account for their actions.
And Starmer should be held to account for his inaction.

I disengage, I turn the page.

You accuse Cryst of making assumption then tell him that the country’s medium to long term economic situation will be significantly worse due to Brexit.

This is also an assumption.

Of course, but one supported by evidence rather than wishful thinking. Even the most ardent "sovereignty is more valuable than mere economics" Brexiteer understands that.

Yup all guess work wissie as Tom says. If the vaccine saved your life and being in the eu meant you wouldn't have it yet, I reckon brexit is a positive. What age would be having it now do you think if we didn't brexit? I'm guessing just finishing the 60s.

Of course not! But that's not what I said is it! There is evidence to support my assumptions. Which is simply the truth.

You are the one doing the guessing! We have no idea what our situation would have been had we stayed in. You are simply assuming that the EU would have dictated what we did, and that we would not have impacted what they did. As neither can be known making any assumptions is a pointless waste of time

There are no evidence to support your assumptions.

They are just your assumptions.

No one can predict the future, including you.

It is nearly polling day Sir Keir.

Do you think you can interest us with a policy?

Sorry to bother you of course.
