so how much do they make /year in ticket sales? is the stadium always full? Sorry, not buying this whole you need a big stadium to compete thing. That's why you get a truckload full of money from tv rights. To compete.

The cheapest season ticket is £659. They sell out every game, the capacity is 52, 405. They have gone up 20% in the past couple of years. My Geordie mate tells me that this year there is a boycott going on & there are still season ticket available; & a mass boycott planned for their first game against the Arse; they hoping that at least 20,000 boycott the match. They want Ashley out ASAP

I’m astounded that people are still happy to slag off Parish and generally moan and groan about the club having just achieved our highest ever points total in the Premier League.

We don’t generate a huge amount of money in comparison to other clubs and therefore have to spend within our means. Parish is trying to improve the situation by expanding the stadium and STILL that’s not good enough. Too many of you lot want immediate success and it is so BORING and UNREALISTIC!

Get real and try to understand it from their point of view. They no doubt want the best for the club and I’m sure they’re working hard behind the scenes. If you’re not happy with this, you’re not obliged to stay around.

Positivity breeds positivity, negativity breeds negativity.

no one expects immediate sucess what loyal fans do expect is.progression. Yes we fi ished high last season but this was mainly because we actually had a striker in the team who could.score.goals.
Transfer periods are.generally a joke for cpfc.
Roy needs bodies in prefer them at the beginning of traning but that never happens.
The club have.trimmed.the squad and not replaced of improved it in anyone position.
Get your head out the clouds and take the rose coloured specs off.

Fans moan about Parish because that is what he deserves, the future can be shaped but the past has gone there is no point in having a super stadium if we are in the championship. Parish for several windows now has not had any planning in place and panic buys (poorly) in the last few hours of any window. We have had all summer to strengthen the team but alas DF/SP have no strategy in place or if they have they are incapable of putting in to action. A good well organised club with our revenue resources should be able to plan and strengthen each summer with a few good affordable signings, its called succession planning but they probably do not know what that means. We should be more than capable of matching teams for example like Bournemouth, Watford & Brighton in the transfer market but its the same each window, we are left with the pickings no one else wants. As for the high wage bill, who agrees them "Parish'' and who sold some of his shares to the Americans ''Parish''. He is clearly out of his depth and well above his level of competence, forget 2010 and all that, it is next season and beyond that will shape our future, if we go in to next season with a freebie from Notts Forest and a misfit from Swansea that cost 2mil tops then we are going to struggle and maybe even go down!

But we don't spend within our means! We spend stupid money on the likes of Benteke, overpay for mediocre players like Schlupp, and get ripped off for donkeys like Sorloth. Most of the players we buy are old with no resale value, so we don't bring in any cash by selling on players we improve.

We overspend on panic buys to compensate for a lack of a long-term plan, and now we're seeing the fruits of that.

This really is starting to verge on the ridiculous. Our squad is now really down to the bare bones and we are still letting people leave.

The club must have players in place to come in if they are letting players go out the door but this is a huge risk if any of the deals we are working on fall through.

We're now in a position where selling clubs must know how desperate we are for players and can quite feasibly push their prices up.

They way we are going, we are going to have to do another winter madness like we did when we bought Luka, PVA, Schlupp etc.

fully agree, add Jack and Meyer to that list, what we paid for Benteke was insane, especially as Klopp knew he was rubbish, his 15 PL goals in the first season probably did keep us up that year to be fair but then he retired, alas Parish had agreed a crazy salary in his panic buy moment which he specialises in, as it is at the moment we could not give him away as no one with any sense would want him!

Apropos 'Resale value' just consider Leicester :

Bought Maguire for a max £17 Mill sold him for £80 Mill
Mahrez £560,000 sold for £60 Mill
Drinkwater £675,000 sold for £35 Mill
Kante £5.6 Mill sold for £32 Mill

Parish does not know what quality and value means, may be SP/DF should do an apprenticeship at Leicester to learn how it is done!

I disagree with this bit. At the time everyone was over the moon we bought him and not a single person thought we overspent. It's only with the benefit of hindsight that we can say this now.

I also think that this year will really be Meyer's year - providing we can field 10 other players alongside him!!
