What a cringey, contrived "Singing Section" ? A massive own goal by the HF and club. Fanatical group of fans only want to be fanatics if they can have the better seats. Class.

So the combination of a chairman that has led us to our best ever spell in the top-flight along with a section of our fans that has (for many years now remember) gained our club national recognition for it's efforts, have made a ricket with this proposal? Time will tell but my pounds on them.

Pound on them doing what ? Promoting our unique atmosphere after dividing the fan base and appearing plastic ?

This whole HF situation has definitely divided fans. On reflection it appears like this, in my opinion, the true HF would still be there now.. singing, drumming, waving banners, leading the way, showing why they are needed, protesting in the best way possible.. respectfully. Parish - thought he could handle them, then when he realised he couldn't just give them what they wanted, he held off, it went quiet. They didn't show up and Parish under Palace put our a statement which more or less called the HF out. It was the HF response, which, in hindsight you got to respect, was brilliant as it crumbled Parish - made him look a fool and got a lot of people on side. Parish, being the bloke he is, hated that and gave in to them. The HF played parish. That doesn't mean Parish was the fall guy, it just showed me the HF have someone that out smarted the chairman. Why the HF have stayed away, we have no idea, unless we are in the know - could it be it's a form or protest to Parish, do they know soemthing we don't (although a lot of fans may feel)? Fact is, a beef with parish, a bloke who will be forgotten about in 20 years isn't worth destroying the relationship between club and fan. If i saw Parish down the street, sure i'd give him a second look and aknowledge him - but, until he really puts himself on the line for palace, he isn't a hero and no one can tell me otherwise. At least Jordan and Goldberg 'died' trying...

In my humble opinion, the HF made a calculated decision not to continue as before on the basis that their support would be missed by the club, giving them the leverage to get what they want. The narrative appears to be that the HF have thrown toys out of pram by their actions, forced the hand of Steve Parish, got what they desired and as a result forced out loyal and long-standing season ticket holders and this whole matter has proved very divisive amongst our fan base.

Shifted. Not forced out.

Shifted. Not forced out. I get the impression that long-standing loyal season-ticket holders who will not be able to avail of the seats they have occupied for several years would consider they have been "Forced out".
