Liverpool havent lost at Anfield all season, and Stoke only have one away win.

Southampton have the second worst home record and Bournemouth have a fairly decent away record.

Jesus; that was Willoesque!

Why are we worried about what team Klopp is going to put out against Stoke. Roy isn’t, he has made it clear he believes we can do the business ourselves. We basically meed two draws or a win from three games two of which are at home. Nobody can complain it we don’t achieve that, ee deserve to be relegated.

There used to be a time when the FA warned teams not to field a weakened side in matches involving promotion or relegation. Totally unfair to all the other teams who are still in the relegation mix if they do and Stoke win
and maybe send another team down because of their three points.

I suppose the whole ‘naming 25 man squads’ thing addresses that; if you name 25players in a squad it is churlish of the FA to then whinge when you select them for a game.

Exactly the point - either it is a squad that may be played or let's just name an 18 player squad that has to be at all matches. We'd have been pretty screwed this season though if that was the case given our injuries.
At the moment it is an outside chance that Liverpool can be pipped by both Spurs and Chelsea for an automatic champions league spot so they won't be too complacent just yet I don't think.

Wasn't it holloway and blackpool who were involved in something like that? I remember him having an opinion on it a while back.
One win from us will do it, in my eyes and as others have said, the league doesn't lie and if we only pick up 4 points from out last 5matches against the opposition we have, then we deserve to be down.

However, we are damn lucky roy was able to dot he business after the poor summer and start we had.

Lessons to be learnt.

True, the bottom three are hoping the clubs above them screw up... it's ours to lose.
I would much rather be higher up, but, having said that, if we kept FDB we would have been down already.

In hindsight, the pre season under FDB was a joke, he wasn't backed, which tells you many things, but the losses and moral was just ridiculous.

One thing in our favor regarding Liverpool-Stoke is that Klopp was in a rage following their draw to WBA. He was whining that he needed the points and WBA didn't, as if that matters. Based on that, he's not going to want drop points at Anfield to Stoke.

That being said, Stoke isn't our main problem, if they catch us, it means we will have lost every match the rest of the way. We need to worry about Southampton and Swansea.

Take care of business at home against a Leicester side with nothing to play for, and then we'll be almost guaranteed of staying up. If we lose to Leicester, then we will need points at Stoke, and things could get ugly fast.

I seem to remember last year we couldn't get points at this stage of the season, and ended up having to get something off of Hull on the last day. Don't want to go through that again this year.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

The penultimate game. Which meant we thankfully didn't need anything away to Man U, where we never seem to get points in the league.

I fully appreciate your fears, but this year we ARE getting points at this stage of the season; unbeaten in 3.

Indeed this was pretty much an all or nothing game, hopefully we won't be thrust into a similar situation against Stoke, although having West Brom as a last chance rather than Man Utd is a softer cushion than last years tribulations
