It was a vastly better performance than Swansea and we should have won, but if we dont take our chances.. Don't agree with you about Townsend - thought he underperformed and his final ball was one of the reasons we didn't get a result today. Plus, he commits to early when an opponent has the ball and is then easily beaten. Happened a lot today and his shooting seems to have disappeared. Also, doesn't get down to the byline to make a cross and slings it in further out making it easier for defenders to clear. Not impressed at all today with him and in fact most times I watch him.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Back from the game.' by Guntrisoft Nobody would take a shot! Its so frustrating, but would be interested to hear ten who you thought were our best players today, especially those who were prepared to run at players wit the ball.

I agree that our performance today has granted FDB a stay of execution in my mind. Nothing he could do about a total f*** up from Lee and some woeful finishing. We dominated Burnley from start to finish. The important thing is, is we now carry that forward to the Southampton game and build on it. If we can do that and have our 3 best players Zaha, RLC and Sahko back in the team then I am happy to stick. If, however we turn in a performance next week like our last 2 home games then something is seriously wrong and we need to look at making a change. Nothing he could do about the f*** up in transfer policy either with the club choosing to spend all its money on centre back number 6 who is not even fit to play whilst we have one centre forward.

Really unfortunate today, felt we deserved a lot more than we got, glad Wayne's not this weeks scape goat, I thought Joel had his best game in a long time, prevented a goal and looked more assured on the ball. Townsend and Cabye had good games and Punch wasn't that bad.

If I was to pick top half first xi prem standard we probably have a definite 5. 2 were injured today, one was marginal but played through it. Once again sector the injury table. How does this happen year after year? Second connected point, in my view one of the five is milivojevic. I hope his presence on the bench reflects rotation or some other sensible explanation because that talent left on the bench for no good reason could turn me from a De boer waiter to hater. Looking at the match stats crikey we have no luck.
