He's also getting too old for a big move. That really isn't the case. Hazard moved at 28, Mahrez at 27, for example. In fact, if Liverpool still look like pushing City in the league come the January window and Sane is no longer in Guardiola's plans I can see him moving to the Etihad.

Hazard is one of the best players in his position in Europe. Zaha has done next to nothing to outsiders, last season and this season, apart from a month last season. That’s partly due to Roy though in fairness. Zaha is like Palace in many ways with all the ‘potential’ quotes and flashes of brilliance and amazement but quite a bit of meh in there as well. It’ll be interesting how this plays out. I just want him playing for the team and striker on the pitch, not his own satisfaction or ego. A long way to go to January and May. This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Brains in feet and always somebody’s else’s fault spring to mind. His agent negotiated a very lucrative contract which Wilf didn’t have to sign. The club were reported to have received offers well below their valuation of the player - hardly the agents fault. If Chelsea get their ban lifted then they may just meet that valuation by way of player exchange otherwise it’s hard to see how this will end to all parties satisfaction

Get rid off and move on, guys like Awey who put in a shift without the histrionics are the type of player we need, a good winger and striker should mitigate the loss of Wilf, the fee received for AWB should buy us a good RB and cover at LB. I thought the Everton offer of £55 million plus player in part exchange was a good deal. Wilf however is guaranteed to flop at a club like Everton in a City like Liverpool. Genuine question: What is it about "a club like Everton" and "a city like Liverpool" that "guarantees" that Wilf would be a flop if he went there?

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If Chelsea want him and I'm not convinced. I thought Hudson-Odoi, prior to his injury, was starting to show more end product than Wilf and he's young enough for a club to mould into a more complete player than Wilf. This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Hazard and Sane fit into the "proven world class" category. Mahrez is more comparable but, as Rudi points out, he was a key component of a title-winning team. This is my point. At the age of 27, Wilf is seen as a bit of an underachiever by those outside of our club. AWB can get a move at 21, as Wilf did, because coaches want to get them early and mould them. By 27, they want the finished article. Originally posted by pssguy

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle All speculation but if Raiola took over as Wilfs agent, that would be an interesting January. The guys clearly very good at his job and I can only see SP being completely out of his league dealing with him.

But if he is so good at his job and with his main intention being a 'big move' for Wilf then he'll have to make sure Palace and SP are satisfied. The move will only happen when all parties are happy just as we saw proof of in August. Edited by samprior (14 Sep 2019 10.22am)

A little bit like his international choice. Why was getting dissed by a chaotic England team in transition and instead choosing playing for his native country a bad choice? I wonder if the rumors about Drogba having a word with him about representing/inspiring a nation instead of being treated like an "if we feel like it we'll let you know" are true.
