Is Wissie the guy who hates Trump so much he called Biden words to the effect ‘a bit forgotten, like me at times’, but is completely sharp and focused and has his marbles’.

I could trawl back but I can’t be arsed.

Yup and FYI he says the BBC is totally unbiased, straight down the middle and doesn’t take sides. I doubt he knows many or any who have worked for them though like you do. Be careful how you write though as you may get a lemon very quickly.

I just hope the US get’s someone (Republican or Democrat) who will stand up for American standards, grow the economy, cut the crazy ‘free for all’ immigration, be tough on crime and help health care. Is that to much to ask?

I lived off the Hamilton Road in Baltimore in the late 1980’s and worked in Fell’s Point in the docks. It was wonderful, cosmopolitan, edgy and soul giving. Listening to old friends’s (black & white) it’s not the same now and you’d probably get shot doing what I did.

We make excuses for politicians but the failure is a case of a bad local political management over the last 40 years. Mostly dare I say from failed left & liberal policies. Who suffers most under these policies? The black community. Disgraceful.

Yup but some are too dumb to realise you can make it without food stamps. There are two wonderful role models amongst 100s to prove it and both will certainly give their opinion. Denzel and Morgan are but two.

Pretty much as there is a report button which goes to the mods who decide if you have overstepped the mark. I find them quite liberal in their decisions ( in a language sense not political ) but 2 lemons make a strawberry and then it’s good night Vienna, you are banned. Read the ts and Cs, post your views but no personal attacks with foul language as that’s defo a card. Don’t call people names, just join in the banter as bottom line we are all palace fans which is our common cause.
Good luck and get used to biting your lip

Thanks. Good advice and I think a fair policy.

I have a good friend who is the executive director of one of the BBC’s most successful long running dramas. He has won a BAFTA. So I am reasonably well informed on how the BBC approach their responsibilities. Previous to this he wrote scripts for several of the longest running shows and the lengths that were gone to to get inside the subject are very impressive. Deciding story lines that illuminate areas of current interest is treated very seriously and then great effort is made to present all viewpoints.

Wisbech

With respect, it’s of no surprise whatsoever that a person with your political leanings has prominent friends in the BBC.

He has a friend for every occasion. media, comedy , whatever the topic. One or two of them he has actually been in the same room with.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

He used to be a neighbour of mine and we joined a community group together and our families socialised. I have never discussed politics with either him or his wife. He is much more focussed on the theatre and literary world. Don’t see him these days but we stay in touch, as does my eldest with theirs.
