Outside of the aforementioned in-breeding scenario that certainly occurs in some areas of this country, diversity and immigration is inevitable if the future trend is towards a globalised world with a mix of maturing and growing economies. Which despite bumps in the road has been the general direction of travel for quite some time now, thanks to the accessibility of technology and travel. Can't see that changing... every country wants growth and lots of it, despite the odd bout of sabre rattling here and there.

Therefore diversity becomes necessary (and beneficial) when you have a minority population large enough to affect you economically. Businesses need to appeal to a growing section of the economy in terms of getting a slice of their disposable income and attracting talent. That's just one reasoning. There are loads more...

As for how far you go with pandering to it – eg. positive discrimination etc. is a fair debate. But that's more about how far than whether it's necessary. It becomes necessary when the minority population becomes economically valuable.

Even immigration shy countries like Japan are starting to realise that if they want to sustain their economies at the level they've got used to they are going to have to start opening up their borders.

Unless the direction of travel changes it's an inevitability that countries will begin to 'blend' even more... and nationality will evolve with it. Bothers some, doesn't bother me particularly. Do what you need to do to prosper.

Maybe we could try and pivot to more of a closed shop model, but that might result in significant wage hikes and prices following suit. Significant long term inflation, like what is happening now but for decades. Which would probably leave most of you homeless and unable to afford a pint of milk.

Also on the 'replacement' point – isn't this a bit hyperbolic? In a globalised society all races will spread out and mix, that's just a reality until such time as where we decide that it's not the most economically prosperous route. However the point made above about minorities marrying within their groups is a good one – this doesn't just apply to 'them', it applies to 'us' too. So I don't think 'our' genes are in any real danger long term.

Besides, so what, really. Identity, nationalism and culture has always evolved and it's down to a lot more than just genetics. If you're a fan of attempting to maintain a pure genetic line that's up to you, but personally I'm not going to be segregating my children and deciding they can only marry 10th generation white English people to 'preserve our genetics'. How far back do you go? Where do you even start with that. It's nonsensical, and detrimental in an increasingly globalised world.

I really don't care whether this post was made 3 hours ago or 3 months ago, because to the reader it will be a without context sweeping encouragement of violence that is ever present on the forum with no understanding that there was ever any appropriate consequence.. primarily because there wasn't.
