The more acquittals they get the more they can charge. For the typical top level attorney that's true. Cohn was not typical. He adhered to a particular philosophy and was a fixer for the mob. And Trump, who he mentored.

News show host Chuck Todd apologises and admitted the channel had deceptively edited a video clip of Attorney General William Barr. More fake news and bias against the Trump administration. [Tweet Link]

It's good that they apologised. How often does Mr Trump apologise for his mistakes or outright lies? He of course doesn't, he doubles down. One rule for others, another for him.

Politicians have always lied and it's why the public tend not to trust them. The media is supposed to tell the truth but sadly are not far behind.

I do think his level of lying is something we've not seen previously, and so farcical and ludicrous that people almost judge it less harshly than they would more subtle or calculated lies. That said I'm with you on both points to an extent. The modern political and media landscape is unfortunate to put it mildly.

I see absolutely no "race baiting" of any kind at all. Just factual reporting of another disgraceful performance in front of the media. Impolite and evasive he obviously cannot deal with pressure in any way other than being rude. That "all the comments agree with you" must say more about some kind of flooding comment campaign against the BBC than it ever does about how most people in the UK will see that performance by Trump. Trump responded to a question about the USA's performance by yet again trying to swerve the debate onto China. When he was challenged as to why he did so he described the question as "nasty" and refused to answer, both her and the other female journalist. That the journalist involved questioned why he targetted her was not unreasonable, he could easily have reassured her and answered the question. In not doing so he opened himself up to the accusations that were made
