Why? This thread is about the BBC. Because the BBC doesn't publish many self critical stories and anyone who does is dismissed as biased.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

"Strictly Come Dancing star Graziano Di Prima has confirmed that he is leaving the show. A BBC spokesperson confirmed that Di Prima was "no longer a part of the line-up of professional dancers for the upcoming series". "While we would never comment on individual cases, it is well-known that the BBC has established a robust duty of care procedures, and if issues are raised we will always take them seriously and act swiftly as appropriate,” they said. Nepotism at work in every part of the BBC. Not a problem off-loading a minor employee who is a bit 'handsy'. It's the high-level ones who are hidden better and get massive pay-offs that concern me.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

BBC commentator and employee David Aaronovitch made an assassination comment about Trump around the beginning of the month and the BBC did nothing. Whereas I'm pretty sure that if the assassination comment had been about Biden the BBC would have sacked him....Aaronovitch deleted the comment and the BBC treated it like nothing....I don't believe he should have been sacked but they should have issued a statement that this was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. What Aaronovitch did was very stupid and he should have issued an apology. Instead all he gave were rather snide remarks about it after claiming it was a joke. I couldn't detect a joke in the comment myself. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Jul 2024 1.53am)

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The BBC is carrying out its own investigation into alternative methods of funding which maintain its core principles of independence from government and political neutrality and objectivity. They need to do this to overcome the level of non payment now being experienced.
